I keep thinking about that annoying kid Henry from Mom's class.
He's not lying, I've seen him before, I think everyone has. He's Indigo Chávez. You'd be crazy not to know him.
I admit it, though, he seems to be actually understanding shit now.
He thinks he's the shit.
He's desperate for attention.
He's unbearable.
Yet, I still hear people talking about last year.
February, Freshman Year.
"Indigo Chávez! Stop that at once," Mr. Sullivan walks up to him and grabs him by his arm. "We both know nothing you do or say will ever be...what's a good use of a word... oh, uhm, bright. " He said it because Indigo was goofing off and spanking some of his friends as a joke.
It's early morning, we're having another assembly so the principal can yell at us for how we acted at the last assembly. Everything's normal and boring until we hear the intercom. It's Indigo.
"Aw shit, how does this thing work. Oh, it's on!" He mumbles. " Hey, Mr. Sullivan, look outside the cafeteria."
Everyone floods to the doors, and somehow, Mr. Sullivan finds his way to the door first and almost on cue, like a dozen fireworks light. Everyone is just cheering.
"Is that bright enough for you, bitch!
Oh, and I was looking at these pictures of your wife and I was thinking, she looks so familiar, and that's when it clicked, she's the one with the birthmark on her left ass cheek!"It sounds like someone walked in and you can vaguely hear yelling.
everything got pretty messy after that.
Mom was working at a different school when that happened, this is her first year at this school, she's been wanting to teach here for like 8 years now, but her position was never open until this year when the old AP calc teacher retired.
After that he somehow wasn't expelled, but did get suspended for like a month, he had community service, he had to repair the roof, publicly apologize, had detention for the rest of the school year, and still to this day he has to help the lunch ladies cook, serve, and clean.
Mr. Sullivan or the school district didn't press charges, that part was weird, the police were only involved for the community service.
I hate him, he always needs all eyes on him. He probably thinks he's better than everybody.
Did he really need to damage the school and put other students in potential harm just because he's too sensitive to take an insult?
I'm sure he is well aware that he isn't smart, there's no need to explode fireworks in the building and admit that he slept with Mr. Sullivan's wife.
Now everyone knows he's a man-whore and dramatic.Mr. Sullivan got a divorce after that too.
I knew of him but I've never been able to actually talk to him. Carleigh's apparently friends with him though, it's all she ever talks about, other than Jensen.
Carleigh's a year older than me. She's my sister.
I have a brother and a sister.
I'm adopted. I was adopted when I was 5. I don't remember much from before I was adopted.
I only remember one of my foster parents and the group home I lived in before adoption. Apparently it was bad but I only remember good things from both.
My brother Sean was adopted too but he was never in the system. His dad was mom's brother. His dad overdosed. He doesn't talk about it.
His dad died about 6 years ago. Mom and dad were his legal guardians, but they officially adopted him 5 years ago.
Sean is only two months younger than me.
Speaking of Sean and Carleigh, where are they?
