Abigail was sitting on the edge of a cliff overlooking the magma below her. Next to her sat the current ruler of their shared Nether Empire, King Naeus. Both of them looked down at the lava, watching it bubble and pop as it flowed throughout the Nether.
Memories flowed through her mind, reminding her of what he had done for her all these months. How quickly he had brought her from a nobody to the princess of the Nether. The thoughts filled her with warmth and brought a small smile to her lips.
Naeus took notice and he wrapped an arm around her neck, pulling her closely. "Look at it all, what we've accomplished together. I couldn't have done any of this myself, none of it would be here without you." He reminded her.
She leaned against his chest. "I wouldn't be here without you either. You rescued me, trained me, taught me how to be a fighter and for that I can only thank you."
"I love you Abigail, you've been so much like a daughter to me. Been by my side throughout all of this, I hope that someday we can beat the humans and share a mighty Empire together."
Abigail grinned. "Don't worry, we will beat them eventually." she paused and then added "I love you too."
They both sat back straight, shoulder to shoulder, holding hands as they stared off into the distance. No matter what happened from here on out, they would both have each other's love and support.
