"Love is not always perfect, but it is always worth fighting for."

Third Person POV

Wangji's gaze dropped to the ground, his voice laced with a mixture of concern and disappointment.

" But Weiying, you must understand that in the vast realm of the Cultivation World, it is strictly forbidden for any cultivator to possess a sword that bears an uncanny resemblance to another's," he explained, his tall figure rising from his seat.

His eyes remained fixated on Wuxian, their silver depths shimmering with a blend of familiarity and curiosity.

A groan of frustration reverberated within Wuxian's being, a testament to his own forgetfulness. How could he have allowed such a crucial rule to slip from his mind?

Wuxian's heart pounded in his chest, a mixture of fear and anticipation. He walked towards the chair near the table, his steps heavy with trepidation. He sat down, his eyes never leaving Wangji's gaze.

"So what is it that you wanted to prove then?" Wuxian blurted out, his voice laced with a hint of frustration. He searched Wangji's eyes, hoping to find answers in their depths.

"Xuanyu and I had the same sword... and as his soulmate, you can wield his sword. The same goes for your sword... What does that have to do with me?" Wuxian repeated, his tone laced with a hint of vulnerability.

"Only soulmates can wield each other's swords. I can also wield your sword, just like how I can wield Xuanyu's sword. So tell me, is there anything you aren't saying to me?" Wangji looked at the Yiling Patriarch seriously, his gaze piercing through Wuxian's defenses.

"What do you mean?" Wuxian asked nervously, his voice barely above a whisper. He could feel the weight of Wangji's presence, the intensity of his gaze, and the unspoken desire for honesty.

Wangji closed the distance between them, his hand gently lifting Wuxian's chin, forcing their eyes to meet. Wuxian's heart raced, his mind filled with a mix of fear and anticipation. He knew he couldn't hold back any longer.

Wuxian's heart pounded in his chest as he looked down, unable to meet Wangji's unwavering gaze. The silence stretched between them, the tension thick in the air.

With a gentle touch, Wangji lifted Wuxian's chin, forcing their eyes to meet. Wuxian's breath caught in his throat, his heart racing even faster. He could no longer hide the truth, not from Wangji, not from himself.

"Will you stay even after I tell you the truth?" Wuxian asked, his voice filled with both hope and fear.

"Tell me," Wangji pleaded, his voice filled with longing. "Because I don't think I can restrain myself any longer if you keep it from me. I'm going insane. Be honest with me now."

Wuxian couldn't hold back any longer. His body moved on its own accord as he pulled Wangji closer, their lips meeting in a passionate and desperate kiss. It lasted only a moment, but it was enough to stir Wangji's sanity and ignite a fire within them both.

After a second that felt like an eternity, Wuxian pulled away, his eyes locked with Wangji's. He was about to apologize for the impulsive act, but before he could utter a word, Wangji pulled him back into another searing kiss, his hands wrapping around Wuxian's waist.
