Third Person POV

As the morning sunlight streamed through the windows, casting a gentle and dappled glow, the dining room exuded an air of tranquility and serenity.

The scent of freshly brewed tea wafted through the room, mingling with the aroma of a delicious spread laid before them.

Wuxian delicately picked up each morsel of food, guiding it towards Wangji's awaiting lips.

Sect Leader Jiang, unable to resist the opportunity for some light-hearted banter, perked up with a playful twinkle in his eye. His attention turned to Wangji, an impish gleam shining through his gaze. "Your Highness, you seem quite taken with our mischievous Wuxian. Are you sure you can handle his antics?" he teased, a hint of amusement lacing his words.

Wuxian, his cheeks slightly flushed, shot a playful glare at his Uncle and retorted, "Uncle, don't you worry. Wangji here is more than capable of handling me," he retorted, his voice tinged with affection. "Isn't that right, Lan Zhan?" he turned to Wangji, a playful challenge in his eyes.

Jiang Cheng, unable to resist joining in the teasing, chimed in, "Oh, I'm sure Hanguang-jun has his hands full with you, Wuxian. It must be quite an adventure."

Wuxian glanced at Jiang Cheng, a playful smirk on his face. "..just like the adventure XiChen endures with you," he remarked with a smile, knowing well the dynamic between the two.

XiChen inwardly agreed, not wanting to provoke Jiang Cheng's ire.

Wuxian's playful smile shifted towards XiChen, his eyes brimming with affection.

"Isn't that right, A-huan?" he quipped, casting a knowing glance at his friend.

Jiang Cheng shot a threatening glare at XiChen, his expression a mixture of annoyance and amusement, momentarily breaking the playful atmosphere.

XiChen nodded in agreement, skillfully defusing the tension. "Indeed, A-xu. Our dynamics are quite...adventurous, to say the least," he diplomatically replied, his eyes crinkling with warmth.

The teasing banter shifted, momentarily interrupted by a voice. It was from Yan li.

"Wait, before I forget...here," she said, reaching into her robe and pulling out a folded piece of paper, handing it to Wuxian.

Curiosity piqued, Wuxian eagerly grasped the letter. He noticed that the sender's name was not included, adding an air of mystery to its contents. He furrowed his brow, wondering who could be behind this message.

"Did you see who sent this, Shijie?" Wuxian asked, turning to Yan li.

Yan li shook her head, her expression thoughtful. "One of our disciples found it at the cottage. He mentioned that he didn't see anyone leaving it," she explained, her voice filled with uncertainty.

Jiang Cheng chimed in, a hint of amusement in his voice. "Must be one of your many admirers, Wei Wuxian. You seem to have quite a following," he shrugged nonchalantly.

Wuxian unfolded the paper, his heart beating a little faster as he anticipated its contents. As his eyes skimmed the cursive script, a mixture of anticipation and unease filled his being. He quickly folded the paper back, a momentary expression of unease flickering across his face.

Madam Yu's concern grew evident as she observed Wuxian's troubled expression.

"You seem troubled, A-xian. What is written on that letter?" Madam Yu asked, her gaze filled with genuine concern.

With a small, forced smile, Wuxian dismissed his concerns, attempting to play off his unease. "It's nothing. Huaisang just wanted to speak with me," he lied, his words masking the true emotions that churned beneath the surface.
