NIALL'S POV:
"Dude! Will you please hurry up. Even she won't be taking so much time to get ready" my best mate screamed at me.
"Can't you see, I am trying to be fast but my body is shaking. After all this is my first wedding" I said.
"First? Jeez, everyone has their first wedding which is supposed to be the last. How many are you planning to have?" he chuckles.
"As many as she will" I reply almost blushing and this cracks him up. I, Niall Richards, am blushing.
"Oh god, don't be so cliché and hurry up."
"Fine, get out now. Let me concentrate." He leaves rolling his eyes.
I pull up my black trousers, wear my black shoes, pull the tux over my white shirt and wear the blazer. I check myself in the mirror, style my hair and put on my bow tie. What is with the people to dress up so formally for their wedding? I could have just wore my white tee with the black jeans and sneakers and she would still love me the same. With this thought, I leave my room and depart towards the St. Cathedral church- the venue. On reaching the entrance my heart starts thumping on seeing so many people staring at me. I make my way through the staring eyes and enter the church.
The church was beautifully decorated with blue orchids- her choice. My outfit- her choice, venue- her choice, theme- her choice and music too. What is my choice- she, my heart replies and I smile. My friends are there waiting for me already and giggling at my nervous gestures.
"Congrats" someone shouts from the crowd.
I decide to call her because at this time she will be as nervous as me and she will be the only who can be my support. But then I decide to wait and stand at the altar. My mind replays all the wonderful moments we had shared. But the one that strikes me is when we were arguing on what kind of a wedding should we have- church one or the traditional style and we settled on having a church wedding but then having a lavish reception- the Indian style. I was just wondering how she would actually be looking wearing her dream gown.
"I want an off-shoulder, flaired white gown with a low carved back" she had said when they had discussed clothes.
"Not very low," I had interuppted.
"Yeah, yeah. The front should be little shimmery but not very. Rest you will get to see on the wedding day," she teased.
The whole conversation rang in my ears. Finally, my wait ends when I see the bride's maids rushing in.
"Sh.. Sh... She's here," I blurt out to no one in particular.
"It's okay. She is the same girl you have been in love with since the past five years. Just relax," my best man says.
I know but..." My sentence remains incomplete when I see her entering. My heart finds peace seeing her beautiful smile- the best I have ever seen on her. A light music starts and everyone stands to welcome her. But she just blushes in response. She looks so cute when she blushes. My angel is finally gonna be with me forever. Dressed in her dream gown, just as she explained, her face covered in a net veil, hair tied in a bun with a beautiful hairpiece around it, her arm looped with her father's, she was looking absolutely stunning, yet so elegant. Her face had the minimal make up a bride could wear which highlighted her natural beauty. She is the prettiest girl I have ever laid my eyes upon. She meets my parents before her father hands her to me.
"Take care of my girl" he says.
"Forever" I reply with a smile taking her hand in mine and settling her in front of me. Her eyes twinkle as she smiles at me.
" Why are you not nervous?" I ask her seeing her relaxed.
" Why are you so nervous?" she counters.
"Because I am getting married today"
"Oh! This is something I did not know" And she rolls her eyes mockingly.
The priest completed all the rituals and we exchange our rings. We had decided upon her favourite love bands. Finally the time for the ultimate vow.
"Do you Mayra Malhotra, take Niall Richards, to be your wedded husband, to have and to hold him from the day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness or in health, to love and to cherish and hereby pledge your faithfulness to him?" priest says.
"Do I have to say yes?" She asks her friends.
"Obviously you have to," I blurt out. Everyone laughs.
"Oh okay," she beams.
"I do" she says with the sweetest voice and her cheeks tinge pink.
"Do you Niall Richards take Mayra Malhotra as your wedded wife..."
"I do" I exclaim.
"....to have and to hold from the day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sicknness or in health, to love and to cherish and hereby pledge your faithfulness to her?" the priest completes and everyone laughs.
Wow! I am the clown in my own wedding.
" Now you may kiss the bride." The priest finally says.
Wow! I am getting the legal permission to kiss her and that too in front of everyone. I am excited but she blushes.
I lean a little closer and bring my lips close to hers meeting them and I kiss her as softly as I can but making sure that she feels it.
Hey guys! This is my first story. I hope you stay with me till the end and give me all the love and support.
