Chapter 39

NIALL'S POV:

After keeping the letter in her room, I went to the terrace. I do not know how she will react. I hope she understands. If not anything more, then at least friendship. Thinking all this, I go to my room, and see Mayra there, sitting on my bed.

"Shit! I knew I did wrong by writing the letter. Why did I have to be such a mess?" I start speaking as soon as I saw her. I tug at my hair and she chuckles.

Her reaction is different from what I was expecting. I have heard this chuckle after very long.

"I love you," she says.

"Huh?"

"I said I forgive you."

"No, you said something else earlier," I clarify.

"I really said this only."

"Oh my god Mayra! Thank you. Thank you so much."

I hug her tightly as if she was my lifeline.

"Don't make me regret it," she sniffs, still in the embrace.

"I will make up for this for my whole life, if I will have to. I am glad, you did not find another guy."

"You had ruined me enough for any other man."

I chuckle and lean in to kiss her lips. She kisses me back. The heartfelt, loving touch.

"Oh baby, this feeling. Noone else can give me these shivers. You are unique Mayra and I am happy...really happy.. that I can call you mine," I say when we pull back.

"I love you," I say.

"I love you too, Niall."

We are lost in our own world. Just the two of us. Our land. Our wonderland.

3 years later:

"Its been 3 years that we are together. Why don't you just marry me?" I say.

"Are you trying to make a suggestion or is it a proposal," Mayra giggles.

"Do you want it to be a proposal?"I say, rolling my eyes.

"Perhaps!" She literally laughs.

"Okay then. Mayra Malhotra, will you like to honour me by allowing me to call you my lawfully wedded wife?" I say, pretending innocent.

"Don't act cute!"

"I am not acting. I am cute. Now please answer," I say.

"Ummm.. I don't mind but I will like to think about it once." She says trying to control her smile and hide her blush.

"Hehe. Very funny. I take that as a yes, love," I say.

I am confident about us. I am sure about Niara. With this, a kiss her. A loving passionate kiss.
