"You're good to go", Shoko said as she removed her latex gloves and shoved them into the trash bin

Gojo got up from the stretcher. "Now it's just the three of us, huh?", he said, eying up at Shoko and then Ijichi

Shoko shrugged. "Well, there's one who isn't fully recovered yet"

"Yeah... I thought Nanami was the type to survive no matter what"

Gojo nodded while Ijichi remained quiet. He looked down into the creak of the floor. Sometimes he would fix his glasses that began to roll down his nose

"Well, I think that's it. I'm going home. Thank you for fixing me up", Gojo said as he took his jacket from the chair

"I hope you won't make me work extra time on December 24th", Shoko added, folding her arms across her chest

"Of course, Sho. Two funerals on the same day would be a nuisance. Beside..", he smirked. "I will win"

"Gojo-san, we are almost at your place", Ijichi said in soothing voice as it woke Gojo up from his nap

His eyes stuttered open slowly and met with Ijichi across the rear-view mirror. Gojo inhaled a deep breath before he looked out of the window where the rain hit that night

"How are you, Ijichi?"

"I- I'm fine, Gojo-san. Are you?", he asked back

"I don't know. Kinda feel like I'm in the bad mood right now. That bastard...", he was refering the to soul that inhabiting his best friend's body at the moment, Kenjaku

"It's been a long time since you were truly able to relax. How was it?"

Gojo recalled back what Kenjaku said to him earlier. He even remembered the smirked on his face. So irritating that it made his blood boil

Not just he lost Suguru's body to an evil, but now that he came back, he also learnt that Sukuna had left Yuji just to merge with Megumi. What a pain

The war had been declared. December 24th was the said date. No matter what happened, Gojo Satoru would win against Sukuna that day. He promised everyone that one thing, especially to his friend, Shoko

And after all this ended, he would definitely gave Suguru's body a proper burial

"I'm sorry", said Ijichi which snapped Gojo back out of his thoughts

"What do you have to be sorry for, Ijichi?"

"Back there, I thought you were implying why did Nanami die and not me?", he explained, eyes still focused on the road although his brows already knitted together, sweating a bit
