The Summer and The Butterflies

When your Summer spread the first rays
Over the cocoons' keen peeps,
It blossomed buds of warm affinity,
The flowers felt befuddled heartbeeps.

My Butterflies fluttered their colours
Into your sky, everywhere you've been.
You sun-kissed their heart's desire,
Making them feel something you've never seen!

But the reticent butterflies
Couldn't convey and say–
"Will you never know?"
"We are unable to show,
The heart's unspoken words"

Your Summer looked into their eyes
And he shone brighter than ever.
He too sparkled his love
Like he had felt that never

Still the Summer decide against
Adding voice to his feelings and say–
"I know, as my heart feels it too"
"I cherish those small moments with you"
"Butterflies, I'm staying, just for you..."

So when both denied initiating,
The Rain arrives.
The Butterflies flutter away to a distinct place
And the Summer also, hides.

But the Butterflies fail to find
Another one like the Summer.
The Summer too waits eagerly
For Butterflies, to once again flutter.
