"Got these babies freshly smuggled from Russia." Boton leaned his elbow onto the tightly sealed cardboard box, giving it two strong smacks while a smug look sat across his face.

"Be careful with those...!" As if (Y/n) wasn't stressed enough, Boton's nonchalant demeanor and careless handling of the explosives only made their heart pace faster against their chest. They walked toward the box and shooed Boton off of it. Their clutch on the cutter in their grasp tightened as they brought it up to the box and sliced it from the top. They set down the cutting tool and pulled open the top of the container, unveiling its contents. Both (Y/n) and Boton peered into the box.

The smell of cigarettes invading their nostrils had disappeared once their eyes caught the silhouette of a number of cylinder-shaped ornaments, all wrapped and sealed with black duck tape. (Y/n) expelled a breath before closing the box and sealing the incision they had made with some tape they had laying around.

"What do you plan to do with these bombs anyway?" Boton asked, crossing his arms. (Y/n) sucked in a breath as they carried the heavy box and loaded it onto the hand truck.

"Plant them around my house." They replied, not sparing a glance at him. The red-eyed criminal cocked a brow at them, puzzled by their answer. When (Y/n) didn't bother elaborating further and continued stacking the bomb-filled boxes onto the platform, Boton sought out his own conclusion and a smile popped on his face.

"Ah! Finally, you're taking my advice!" He slammed his hand against (Y/n)'s back, almost in a friendly gesture. (Y/n) stumbled forward slightly due to the strength of his hit and sent an irked glare at him as they readjusted their hold on the container. "But isn't blowing up your house a pretty inconvenient way to get rid of the kid? You should use-"

"NO-! no! I'm not getting rid of him." Their exclaimed. Boton's expression fell and was replaced with an irritated one.

"All for one is bound to interfere at some point, and when he does, I'm gonna blow up the house." They explained briefly, ignoring the judgmental look Boton was giving them. "Kind of like a distraction I guess."

"I still have no idea why you're doing all this for that boy. He's completely useless and broken" Boton expressed.

"Some people help others out of the kindness of their heart, you wouldn't know." (y/n) said, half-sarcastically. Boton barked out a laugh and moved closer to them.

"Kindness of their heart, please, I don't have that shit. Still don't understand." He shrugged, his face now mere inches from theirs. (Y/n) felt a shiver run down their spine, yet they kept their expression stoic, trying to remain cool under Serpant's intense gaze.

"I don't expect you to." They stared into his eyes, trying not to pay any mind to the freshly mutilated corpse sitting in the corner of the dimly lit room.

"Shows that I'm not like you." He stepped back slightly, pushing his hands into his pockets. (Y/n)'s expression eased as the gap between them widened.

"Still... I don't think you're completely void of any kindness." They confessed.

"You optimists are really something." He laughed.

"You helped me. You help me."

"That's cause' you're useful, nutjob." He leaned closer and stuck his index finger into their shoulder, quite harshly.

"I don't think that's the only reason." (Y/n) grimaced while they rubbed their shoulder, then they glanced up at him. "aren't I right?"

"When are you not." He flashed an annoyed expression, but his lips curved into a smile. "You were different. You weren't like all those other 'villains'. Despite fucking up your golden privileged life, you didn't kill yourself like those other cowards. You weren't afraid when you first started working in the black market, even when you had literal murderers surrounding you. You were interesting."

He wasn't looking at them now, however, they hadn't dared to glance away from him. They continued to stare at him after he had gone silent as if waiting for him to add something else.

"You're not going to add anything else to that?" They raised an eyebrow at him.

"No."
