Touya was very fond of (Y/n), to say the least, how could he not be? They are his caretaker after all. He liked many things about them, for example, he liked the fact they took care of him without complaining, he liked the fact that they never acted bothered by his extremely picky nature when it comes to food, he liked their spontaneous demeanor, he liked their strictness, to an extent, even if sometimes they are slightly too harsh on him, he still appreciates it, he's aware that they're only this strict for his own good.

One habit of theirs that he does not like, however, is their 'you'll know when we're there' habit. (Y/n) makes it a point to take Touya out a lot into the forest, most of the time it's for a specific reason, sometimes they want to teach him some lesson about surviving out in the wild or teach him how to swim, by suddenly pushing him into the river with no prior warning, but they never told him what venture they were going on that day, and to say it irritated him would be an understatement.

That's why Touya had a vexed scowl on his face as the pair made their way through the trees. (Y/n) was silent as usual, while Touya followed close behind them, dragging himself in clear exhaustion. (Y/n) held a stick in their hand, the wooden stick dragging lightly against the grass and soil as they walked. Touya didn't know what the stick was for, and didn't bother asking since he was sure he was going to be met with the usual 'you'll know when we get there'.

"Are we there yet?" Touya whined, his neck craned back as his sweat-drenched hair stuck to his forehead. (Y/n) halted abruptly, causing the blue-eyed child to bump into their back and stumble back due to the impact.

"Ow- sorry-"

"Yeah, we're here." (Y/n) spoke, glancing back at the boy. Touya perked up at the reply. He blinked up at them then glanced forward and past (Y/n). On the ground, there was a relatively small rectangular hill. It was clearly dug out and then refilled with soil and dirt. It had a relatively small yet noticeable rock placed before it. (Y/n) looked forward again and gazed at the scene with Touya, before moving the long stick to where its end was pointing at the filled hole.

"This is a grave." (Y/n) stated suddenly. Touya pressed his lips into a thin line. He had a feeling this conversation was about to turn deep... And awkward.

"Damn... Who's grave?" He fidgeted slightly in his place.

"Mine." They blurted. Touya's expression turned to one of un-amusement and he looked up at them with a cocked brow.

"Um?"

"I had to bury my old self, my old life, and everything with it in order to move on. I didn't want to bury my old life behind. I wanted to go back, but I didn't have a choice." Their brows slightly knit together as they spoke. "Sometimes, in order to move on, you need to bury your past, so you can focus on your future. Even if it hurts you to do it, even if it hurts you to let go, sometimes it's just the only way."

"That sounds depressing." He admitted.

"It is depressing. But it's just life." A ghost of a pained expression crossed (Y/n)'s features, and Touya didn't fail to notice it. "Life isn't fair. It wasn't fair to you, it wasn't fair to me. And wallowing in despair and self-pity doesn't change the past or your future. Acceptance does-"

"I think my life was pretty fair" Touya's words cut (Y/n) short. They glanced down at him.

"How so?" They asked.

"I mean... my life wasn't the fairest. But after all those things happened to me, I met you, and you took me in, and fixed me up, and you look after me... you don't have the best form of living- I mean- we live in a cabin in the middle of the woods, it's not like my house... but I still like it better." He sheepishly admitted. (Y/n) continued to gaze down at him tentatively, taking in all his words. They could tell he was embarrassed by the way he was averting his gaze from theirs.

"If I could go back in time, I'd probably want to change a lot of things and stop myself from going to Sekoto Peak... but I'd regret not meeting you." He completed. (Y/n)'s eyes dilated ever so slightly at his last statement. They continued to stare at him before a tender smile crept up their features.

A frown was quick to replace the smile and they cleared their throat, being quick to change the topic.

"One day, you might need to bury yourself. And you're not going to be happy. I'm not asking you to be. You don't need to be proud about it either. You just need to accept it." They planted the stick into the ground next to their grave.

"Will I need to bury myself soon?" He asked, his eyes fixated on the grave.

"Let's hope not, you're still pretty young. Let's hope you have a good life." They smiled down at him and ruffled his hair. Touya's face scrunched up and he bobbed his head away from their hand, he also disliked how often they liked ruffling his hair. They turned their heel and began walking in the other direction. Touya quickly jogged to their side.

"Come on, we're running back home."

'home'

"Seriously?? That's too much though!" Touya protested, but (Y/n) had already begun sprinting through the woods, ignoring his complaints. With an exasperated sigh, Touya had no choice but to hurriedly scurry to their side.

"Fuck you...!" Boton choked out, his breath heavy. His hand clutched down on his abdomen, blood oozing out between his fingers as he desperately pressed down harder in an attempt to stop the bleeding. "You ought to remember that you ain't nothing without those people you cheated into giving you their quirks and those you tricked into giving them powers."

"I warned you about crossing me, Serpent." The tall figure made his way closer to the heaving and hunched form of Boton, a mischievous grin spread across his face. "You brought this upon yourself."

"You don't own me, All for one, don't you for a second forget that. I don't owe you shit-" A string of coughs escaped his lungs, splatters of blood staining the hardwood floor.

"Everyone who's weak is my slave, you're no exception." His tone was calm, as if this was a daily occurrence for him. Boton's face morphed into one of pure rage, his pupils slitting into two thin lines, the back of his hand wiping away the sanguine fluid on his lips. He knew he could do nothing but grit his teeth and curse him out. He was practically powerless against All for one.

"Suck my dick." He hissed.

"There is no point in killing you. You could still prove useful." All for one stated.

"I'm never gonna work for the likes of you." Boton scowled up at him.

"I just need you to give me something of value."His smile grew wider, his tone dripping with venom. Boton tensed at his words, growing silent for a few seconds.

"I'd rather kill myself than let you take my quirk..." He said in a hushed tone.

"Oh, no. I'm afraid I wasn't talking about your quirk."
