"Money Hungry"
I stood behind the counter staring at the back of Elijah's head. He's been really dry with me lately and I don't like the energy
"Welcome to Starbucks, what can I get for you?" Elijah said to someone on the other side of the counter
He rang the customer up then went to make her order. We locked eyes for a second but he looked away. I turned around and finished making orders.
"I wanna throw a party. Y'all gon come?" Nina asked leaning on the counter
"Yea. When you start fuckin'working" Elijah snapped
I snapped my head his way and scrunched my face up.
"M-my bad Eli." She said going to the back
Ninas only 17 so she's become like a lil sister to us since she been working here for a year. We don't let her slack but she does get to goof around and shit. She knows when it's time to work.
"Whats your problem nigga?" I asked
He ignored me and continued to work
"You acting like a lil bitch" I said turning my lip up
"You on your period?" I asked
"Get the fuck on Athena" he said giving me a look
"Ard bitch" I said going back to work
For the rest of the day we ignored each other and then our shifts were over. Nina went home while Eli and I walked out the back and to his car. We got in and we both started rolling up.
Even when we're not talking the gas gone get rolled up.
"So are you gonna tell me why you have an attitude" I asked
"I don't." He mumbled
"Okay miss girl" I said giving him a look
"Stop playing with me. You put in your two weeks and ain't even tell me Gang. That's fucked up" he said lighting his blunt
"Oh... Eli my bad. It was just an impulsive decision." I said frowning
We always told each other when we would put our two weeks in so we can prepare to be apart. We've spent almost everyday for the last two years together so he really bro.
"And on top of that we don't even chill like we used too."
"Awww you just miss me don't you? I know you never had a bestie this bad" I said looking in the mirror
