Change?

Jacob's pov:

  Its been about 4 years since Desiree was diagnosed with throat cancer. Everything has become different. She doesn't talk much. She just stares at me with her beautiful eyes and her now pale complexion. Like she wants to tell me something but it hurts. Everytime she talks she makes a pained expression as if its hurting her to talk. Her voice is different. A lot deeper. I don't know what I can do to help her. She just lays in bed all day. She's lost interest in everything. 

    We have a 3 year old son, Carlos. He sits in the room with his mom everyday. He's so attatched to her. 

"Come on buddy... lets go get some ice cream." I said.

"What about mommy?" He asked.

"Let mommy get some rest... her nurse should be here in a few" He grabbed my hand and we left out. She really needed the rest. 

About an hour later we arrived home to an ambulance, and Desiree's nurse standing outside. There was a body bag being lifted in the ambulance. Everything was moving too fast. I couldn't think. Everything was moving too swiftly. I ran up to the nurse.

"Please tell me she...."

"Im sorry" The nurse said. "Im so sorry"

I couldn't stop my tears from coming. This was way too much for me. This isn't what I expected. I needed her and now she's gone. I don't know what to do. I was losing it. Carlos sat there clueless of what was going on. 

I grabbed a hold of my fro as something began to come over me. 

"Wh-what are you doing?" I asked. I had no idea what was coming over me. The ambulance pulled off and my body began to jerk around. I screamed out in pain as Carlos began to watch me.

Fernando's Pov:

   I had to do it. I killed him. I didn't want him to live his life in the dirt about Desiree. I walked over to Carlos.

"Come on little man. Im your dad now." I said. He grabbed my hand, not having a single clue of what was going on. Killing Jacob was far from my plans..... but I felt like it was something I had to do. I took Carlos into my car.

"Get ready for a new beggining, youngin." I said, as I drove off...I was gonna teach this little one how to be a man. Something I don't think his father would have done correctly anyway. Say goodbye to Desiree... and Goodbye to Jacob..... Now its just Fernando and Carlos.
