Chapter-28 Battle for Planet Eight

By the next day Sidonia is loading up guards and equipment along with tsumugi onto the new mizuki ships and as the maintenance teams look over the ships the pilots board them including the new graduates with some of them not ready for the skin's suits. After boarding yuhata gets to her pilot seat on the bridge then says this xo midorikawa the mizuki is ready for launch. Kobayashi-Good It imperative you start your attack and make shore it's a succuss xo midorikawa. Yuhata-Roger captain will begin immediately. All ships charge your hyperdrives and set a course for planet eight. The ships say roger then as they charge their drives the ships engines come online then they all enter hyperspace. As they are heading there yuhata says all personnel the goal of this operation is to take control of planet eight are optimal relay point and place the relay units. Guards your task will be to destroy the smaller gauna units while the ships handle the bigger gauna pods. The pilots say roger then as they come out of hyperspace the ships begin launching the guards along with tsumugi. After launching they establish a defensive perimeter around the ships as the mizuki detects two massive gauna pods launching smaller ones. Yuhata-All units stand clear of the front of the ships. We will be firing mac rounds at the gauna core once we identified where they are. Nagate-Roger yuhata. Everyone watch each other's back and look out for one another. The forwards teams manage to take them with out losing a single unit then just as they are feeling relief unknown units begins taking out the guards one by one then it says one unit down...release clasp formation. Begin attack...on all gardes. The unknown units destroy the front guard units one by one then ren says that voice...its sounds like hou. Hamagata-This is wild their attacking us using our own combat doctrine. Hoshina- Seriously what the heck? The gauna shore didn't fight like this in virtual training.

The new pilots dodge and turn but aren't able to hit them then as one is about to strike hoshina maya comes in saving her but the new gauna ends up turning its attention on her and once its grabs on to her it's about to fire it heigus cannon until nagate comes flying in saving her. He manages to get behind it and kill it but not before one of them grabs on to one of sisters mechs and drags her aways absorbing her.

Tsumugi begins to chase but yuhata tells her not to and as nagate watches them pull her away he says dam it and slams his fist on the controls making tsumugi worried. Hours later after the ships gather the guards the pilots look at the damaged guards and the ones that didn't come back then hamagata says they ate her...they just ate her!
