Chapter 26- Planet Eights Mystery

Hours later nagates wakes up to find himself in a hospital room and begins to get up but then gets a bad headache and lays back down. As he holds his head a nurse comes rushing in to check him and when he turns, he recognizes who it is. Nagate-Yamano? Yamano-Hey nagate never thought I would get to save you. Nagate-It looks that way. What happened where are my friends? Yamano-Their ok their sleeping right now. After Sidonia detected your ship coming out of hyperspace Sidonia dispatched a guard squad and brought your ship in. Nagate-I see ow...I take it you decided to become a nurse here? Yamano-I did. After I got better, I was figuring out what I wanted to do then I decided why not help people here because the fighting is only going to get worse now that we're in the lem star system. Nagate says I see then he tries to stand up but ends up falling over with Yamano catching him. Yamano-Be careful nagate you're still recovering from that hyperspace jump. Nagate-No kidding ow...Must be effects from that jump gate. Yamano-Jump gate? Nagate-We found an ancient jump gate created by an alien race that died out a long time ago. Yamano-Like the gauna? Nagate-Not exactly it's a long story. All tell you about it later for now can I go see izana? Yamano-Shore thing let me grab you a wheelchair. Nagate replies ok then after putting nagate into a wheelchair she wheels him to izana room and as they go nagate says so anything happen while we were gone? Yamano-A few of the pilots that helped Valkyrie escape were put in the brig for a week. Nagate-Who were the pilots? Yamano-It was Sei, Tsuruuchi, and samari. Nagate-They helped Valkyrie escape. Who would have thought. Yamano-Yeah it was pretty brave of them. Their time in the brig is actually almost up they get out tomorrow. Nagate-That's good. When they're out I owe them a drink. Yamano-Maybe when you're better. Nagate replies true then laughs a little and as Yamano pushes him into a room, he sees izana laying down on a bed. Nagate-Hey lovebug. Izana-Nagate you're awake. What happened to you?

Nagate-Ah looks like the jump gate had a bigger effect on me than you girls. All be ok it's just going to take a bit longer before I'm healed. Izana replies I see then she gets up to take his hand and as he smiles izana says is it ok if we can go to the roof? Yamano-Its fine just be careful with him and no standing up. Izana smiles then says I will then she grabs his chair and wheels him to an elevator. After reaching the top they gaze out into the city as the artificial light starts to dim down then nagate says I can't believe were back. Izana replies Yeah, I never thought I'd see Sidonia again then she clenches up a bit making nagate notice. He wheels up to take izanas hand making her smile a bit then he stands up wabbling a bit making izana say be careful nagate Yamano said not to stand. Nagate smiles then brushes her hair aside and says when have I ever listened then he kisses her.

As they do they hear haven't changed a bit have you nagate then they look to see Yamano with yuhata, En and the rest of the team. Nagate laughs then begins to fall but izana catches him making him blush then as she lifts him up izana says never thought I'd hold you like this making nagate say yeah then izana puts him back in his wheelchair then is bought back inside with the others. The next days after feeling better nagate visits tsumugi and after talking with her he goes to see his ship and is not happy. Nagate-What happened to you Valkyrie. Sasaki-Looks like your engines blew when you exited hyperspace. Nagate-I can see that. How long will it take for you to fix? As Sasaki looks at the engines, they spark making her step back and say not shore with the engines damaged like this it's going to take longer than two weeks. Nagate-Dam it that's not good...now how will I get there. Sasaki-Get where nagate? Nagate-I need to get to planet eight, there's something that might help me get back to my universe. Sasaki-How and how did you know that? Nagate-We came across an abandoned space station when we were traveling. It had coordinates to planet eight but were not shore what's there. Sasaki-Have you talked to the captain about it. Nagate gets frustrated then says the captain can go to hell. Yuhata told me the captain refused the rescue mission to come after us and when we got back, I haven't spoken to her since we returned. Sasaki-I know how you feel nagate, but you can't stay mad at the captain forever. Nagate-I'm not shore about that hm...I'm going to head home now to get some sleep.
