Predaking felt something stroking his head. The feeling of a hand gently rubbing the back of his helm down to his neck. It's been so long since anyone has petted him. He almost forgot how it felt to be a pet to someone, to obey and follow their lead. To have to sleep in a cage and wake up to fighting an endless war that he wasn't even a part of. 

He soon enough came to his senses and opened his optics. The blurriness caught him off guard, making him shaky. 

"Easy," 

As soon as he heard that one word, Predaking knew exactly who it was. He tried to sit up but his energon supply was still low. He had no choice but to lie back down. He growled lowly as he wanted to get away from him as quickly as possible. 

"You know for being a Predacon you sure are stubborn." He replied as he looked down at the large dragon. 

Predaking looked around trying to figure out where he was and what had happened. He noticed that they seemed to be on a rock, a very large one in fact. The rock went over the clouds, it was so high in fact that the sun seemed to level evenly with them. 

But through the clouds, he could see Fowler's military base being ripped to shreds. He smiled a bit but then stopped when he realized the kids were missing. He had no idea where they took them. They couldn't have been in Fowler's base, could they? They could have been blown to shreds?! Or were they still alive? The questions burned Predaking's mind. He never cared about the humans, but he knew the Autobots would have his head if he lost them. 

Shockwave noticed the Predacon staring off through the clouds. So he placed a cube of energon next to his head. 

"You should eat before you go back to status lock," Shockwave said standing up.

Predaking looked up at him before hesitantly moving toward the energon. 

"You wanna know where the humans went?" Predaking's head shot up at Shockwave. 

'How in the world would he know???' Predaking asked in his head. 

"They're with Crankcase, in some abandoned warehouse off the coast of Jasper," Shockwave said looking down at the dragon. Predaking finished and slowly stood up, he looked around not knowing which way to go. That's when Shockwave grabbed the bottom of his mouth and pointed him in the right direction. 

Predaking started flapping his wings and soon enough he was in the air. He turned towards Shockwave and growled lowly. 

Shockwave put his hand out, gently petting his snout. 

"See you in the Nemesis once you're done being the Autobot's pet," Shockwave said looking up at the beast. Shockwave let go, looking at the predacon. 

Predaking turned around and flew under the clouds, heading towards the humans. 

In the meantime, Shockwave turned around and walked through a ground bridge Soundwave sent for him. 

Predaking was so confused about what just happened. It was the last thing he ever expected to happen to him. I mean, how in the world did he find me in the first place?! How did he know where the humans were?! How did he know that I was trying to find them?!

But what Shockwave last said bothered him the most. 

Was I just the Autobot's pet?

The thought flew out of his mind as he thought about all the possible ways he could find the humans if he didn't make it there in time. 

Predaking flew as fast as he could, he knew that the one cube of energon wasn't going to last for long, so he had to hurry. 

He soon reached the weird abandoned warehouse. He quietly walked towards the big garage door. That's when he heard a voice. Not the humans or any bot he has ever heard. It must have been that bot Shockwave was talking about, he thought.  

He got closer and heard something that made him shiver. A gunshot. He breathed out as much fire as he could to burn the door down. 

He growled as he jumped through the hole he just made and looked around. 

"Predaking!!!" He heard the familiar girl's voice. He never thought he would ever be happy to hear her voice. 

He bent down a little as the humans ran towards him. He growled lowly not knowing what happened. 

"You saved us, Pred!" Miko yelled hugging his paw. He looked down at her and then at the two boys. He was relieved that they were still alive. 

"How did you even find us?" Jack asked looking up at the dragon. 

Predaking looked down at Miko who was still hugging his paw. He knew he still couldn't transform because of her hugging him and his low supply of energon. 

He growled lowly trying to show the humans he couldn't talk in this form. 

Miko looked up at Predaking, letting go of him, "Pred, you almost missed the fight! This big dreaded robot almost shot us to death, but he missed because one of the creepy human guys distracted him! And then you came in and fired that guy to bits! You saved us, Pred!!!"

Predaking growled lowly in amusement. 

"Can we go nowww," Raf complained. 

"Yeah, let's go," Jack tried to call for a ground bridge through his comm link between them and the Autobots, but all he got was static. 

"Looks like we're going to have to ride the dragon again," Jack said turning towards him. 

Luckily Predaking had enough energon to make the trip, thanks to...Shockwave. 

The humans climbed up on Predaking's back and sat down. Miko sat in the front not holding onto anything because she trusted Predaking. Raf on the other hand, found the piece of metal on Pred's back that he was holding onto before and grabbed it with a deafening grip. Predaking shifted a little as the boy squeezed the scrap out of him. And Jack, of course, wanted no part in it, so he simply sat father back and looked towards his tail. 

"Why is your tail so long?" Jack asked not turning around.

Predaking growled lowly in confusion before taking off. 

'Are these humans ever going to realize that I can't talk in my beast form?!' Pred thought as they flew above the clouds, towards the Autobot's base. 

After a few minutes of hearing Miko scream in excitement, Raf giving him back pain, and Jack looking at his tail, they finally reached the base. 

Everyone jumped off him, well except Raf who had slowly climbed down his back, to his leg, and then to the ground. 

Bumblebee and the Autobots all came outside worried. Bumblebee went to Raf, Acree went to Jack, Bulkhead went to Miko, and of course, Prime, Magnus, Smokescreen, Wheeljack, and Ratchet went straight toward Predaking.

'Great, now I seem like the bad guy,' He thought as he transformed, instantly growing taller than everyone. 

"Predaking what were you thinking?!" Ratchet yelled looking up at the tall con. 

Miko heard and ran to Predaking, she hugged his ped and looked up at them. 

"Don't yell at him! He saved our lives!" Miko yelled. 

Predaking looked down at her and then back at the bots.

"We'll discuss this inside," Prime said turning around to go back to the base.
