As I finish my breakfast my phone buzzes, so I picked it up and saw who texted me.
Simon: "Hey Emily, wanna hang out, just the two of us?"
This is out of the blew, why would he just text me like that when we don't really know each other.
Emily: "sure why not"
I sent my message, heart beating so fast but I went to change so I can meet Simon.

I'm sitting on the couch going through Instagram when I noticed a comment "he is going to hurt her, just like Talia". What did they mean by that I kept thinking but I knew where I would get my answer and that was from Talia her self.
"hey Talia" I shouted out hoping she heard me so I really didn't have to move from the couch. After a few moments I thought she didn't hear me until I saw her walk in from the hallway taking a seat next to me.
"what's up Girly" Talia giggled making herself comfy.
"well I wanted to ask you something" I said nervously which caused her to raise an eyebrow. "don't look at me like that" I stated getting more serious.
"okay okay what's up" Talia said shifting her position so we could actually talk.
"what really happened between you and Simon" I asked, that's when Talia's smile dropped and she looked upset.
"look Em what I'm about to tell you is very personal, literally no one knows what went on between him and I" Talia said as I nodded her for to continue. "well I thought Simon was the love of my life, but it turns out he was just manipulating me" Talia said and I saw her eyes start tearing up.
"go on if you want" I said softly reassuring her as she got herself together.
"He mentally abused me, Emily. He would tell me lies about being the only girl he loved, and constantly make me feel like I wasn't good enough." Talia said wiping her eyes
"Oh, my God, Talia. I had no idea" I said shocked not knowing Simon was like this
"I'm sorry I didn't tell you, I just didn't want you to go through the same thing, so I wanted to warn you" Talia said now tears running down her cheeks "He cheated on me, Emily. I caught him red-handed with another girl. I thought I was the only one, but I wasn't" Talia said not holding her sobs back.
"How could he do that to you, Talia? That's so cruel" I stated wrapping my arms around her.
"I know, and that's why I'm telling you this. I care about you so much, and I don't want you to get hurt like I did. Please be cautious around him" Talia said pulling away as she wiped her tears away.
"Thank you for telling me this, Talia. I really appreciate your honesty. I'll definitely be more careful" T said placing my hands on her shoulders.
"Always, Emily. You mean the world to me, and I'll always be here for you. I just want you to be happy" Talia said placing a small smile on her face.
'Thank you, Talia. I feel so lucky to have you as my best friend" I said pulling her in for a hug.
"The feeling is mutual, Emily" Talia laughed as she hugged me back "Now, let's focus on building your happiness, okay? You deserve it." Talia stated as she pulled back looking straight at me smiling, and I agreed. That's when her phone ding and she grabbed it, opening it up, placing a smile on her face as she looked up at me.
"what" I laughed as she kept smiling.
"well pack your bags because we're going on a trip" Talia said as I looked at her confused but she just sat there smiling at me.
