"Youre back. Way earlier than I thought you'd be" I blinked, opening my eyes to see Kains face. He stood on the side, looking down at me on the ground. "You exhausted your power. From what I know, you'll be out for a few days" he smugly walked over to the couch again, sitting down. "You're not going to take over the body again like you did before, are you? I heard you choked my friend" I glared. "Oh right, I did do that." He chuckled lightly. "His name was...Ji-Jiwoo Soo right?" I raised a brow. "Seo. Jiwoo Seo" I corrected. "Yeah! Jiwoo Seo! He's an interesting but annoying kid. So righteous and innocent to the point it's a bit too annoying..." he lifted up his hands in the air, noticing my glare. "Don't worry. You exhausted my body so much, I can't even lift a finger. I'm impressed though. You used your ability in a unique way. I hate to admit it but...if I had taken over in that moment, we both would've probably died" Kain sighed. A bit sad albeit happy to have witnessed and felt how it was to spar as an awakened one for the first time. Even if he wasn't in control.

"Could you feel the pain as well?" I couldn't help but ask. Kain is the original soul who owned the body I stole. He has a deeper connection to it than I ever will. So it only makes me curious whether he feels, hears, tastes, smells, or sees everything I do. "Unfortunately, yes. I felt every single bit of that spar" he sighed. "It was the first time both of us were together at the same time" I tilted my head. At the same time? "What do you mean? Are you usually not listening in on everything I do?" I asked. "No. Somehow, you isolate me into the body while you're in the driver seat. So I remain here, in my own headspace. Waiting for the next time theres a crack" he shrugged. "I can't see what you see. Nor feel, taste, smell, or hear...don't worry, I can't hear your thoughts either. Let alone look through your memories. But for some reason..." his smile faded away, grimacing. "You can see mine. My fathers organization for example" he pointed out.

"Oh. I thought maybe you willingly showed me that, I didn't know it was knowledge you wanted to keep to yourself" he furrowed his brows hearing me. "Why would I want an imposter to see my memories? That's like giving a photo album to the burglar that broke into your house and stole everything you owned..." I flinched. i really didn' know. Now this confused me. There's something keeping Kain from entering my memories and such other things but I'm able to access his. Well, at least memories I need rather than want. I guess it really depends on the situation I'm in. "If that's the case...then ask me a question. Any question. Since I saw something you didn't want me to see" I tried to reason. I may hate him but he has a point.

"...where are you from?" Pausing, I thought for a moment. It's a vague question. And depending on how much I learned from Kains memories I just so happened to unlock, I'll reveal just as much. "I'm from a world where awakened ones don't exist" now this made Kain shocked. It's the first time I've seen his smug smile fall into a slightly open gape, not believing me. "To be specific. There was no such thing as powers." Kain let out a mocking scoff. "You expect me to believe that? I personally witnessed your spar against Dusik Kang. One of the few powerful awakened ones in South Korea. Unless you're just a natural and that talented, I don't believe you weren't an awakened one until you took over my body!" Kain stood up, slamming his hand on the table. "I don't appreciate you lying to me" he glared. "I'm not. As hard as it is to believe, I really didn't have powers before coming into this world. I learned how to use many martial arts and fighting styles, but never super powers" silence took over. Leaving Kain to stare into my eyes for a long time before leaning back into the couch again, arms crossed.

"I figured you studied martial arts. Beating up Inyong then attacking Dusik confirmed that" he said. This made me feel a bit more relaxed. If Kain can't access my memories. Then that means he can't learn that what I'm in right now is actually a Manwha. A made up world. Although, this made up world is now my reality. More importantly, he can't learn of Hyung or father. Nor can see the information I learned in hyungs journals.
