Chapter 56

Amyeong stood off to the side, one of his arms twisted and cut up. I stared at them. At Kayden staring down at the one he targeted the most. The one who tortured Jiwoo to the point of no return. His whole body was riddled with deep lesions, all burned to a crisp. "Are you the one who bashed my apprentice like that?" Kayden asked, catching the mans attention.

He looked up to Kayden, the intimidating aura he gave off scared him. It was unlike any other awakened one he's battled thus far. He gritted his teeth, hating how first it was the kid he didn't know was so strong and now a crippled awakened one who's supposed to be weak! The amount of anger he had converted into power. A purple glow emitted off his body, building up his power to the max, aiming his hand at Kayden then releasing all of the fire he had built. Attacking Kayden. The best I could describe it was a tsunami of flames.

The fight with the Klein brother couldn't hold a candle against this man. I gulped, realizing just what I was trying to fight against. Thankfully the entire time he held back because he needed to fight Kayden and used minimal attacks. Still, the fact I was able to injure someone like him also had me figure just how much stronger I was able to become.

Even now as Kayden appeared through the cloud of smoke and dust, his large hand clasped around the mans head, showcased just how much of a scary being Kayden really is. "You're insane" I heard Suho comment as he watched Kayden ask the man a question then proceed to electrocute him til he had no voice left to scream. "Did you see it all?" I asked, feeling Suho grip my shoulder as if recalling the fight he witnessed his young master participate in. I flinched, my bones and muscles broken or torn due to the technique "joker'. He shifted my bone by moving. But I didn't say anything.

"Ever since your lightning hit that guys fireball. Up until now, I saw it all" His deadpanned tone scared me but I had nothing else to say when Kayden tossed the torturer to the side. Even though it looked like he hardly used much strength to throw the body, I watched as that very body flew right through 6 concrete buildings.

STOMP!

I flinched hearing the sound of the very ground beneath them almost shatter from that simple action Kayden inflicted on the guys head. "Is this all you've got? I thought you wanted to take me down"Kayden asked, hardly feeling tired despite the amount of powerful attacks he used. "Please...spare me.." The man begged a second later. Leaving a bad taste in my mouth. How dare he- How dare he say such a thing after doing something so horrible to Jiwoo.

"Like hell I would" not giving the man another chance to speak, Kayden stomped on him multiple times til the brink of death. Then zapped him with his strongest attack yet. Making sure he hit every single nerve in the mans body to cause him unbearable pain. "Ah-!" I yelped, feeling the strong aftershock as both Suho and Suman had to combine their powers to create a stronger shield to protect the two injured kids they held.

Glancing towards Suman, Suho could tell he looked very shocked. "You get used to it after awhile" he commented, remembering the many battles he had to witness with Ilseong Hua. It was of similar level but that was years ago. Now, he can only imagine how much his boss has improved since then. This made Suman stare at Suho like he's insane, especially after seeing how calm he looked watching the entire battle play out.

Kayden eliminated Jiwoos torturer.

"Amazing..." I commented, staring at Kaydens back. He's so powerful despite his injury. It's crazy. Just how strong was he before the injury?

"Amyeong, why aren't you coming at me?" Kayden called out the brains of this operation. My eyes turned back to Amyeong, relaxing upon seeing him. Before I was blinded by the fact that, although, he didn't cause the injuries Jiwoo sustained by torture, it didn't change the fact Amyeong brought him here in the first place. In the future I wouldn't mind befriending him, but right now, I wanted to punch him in the gut as hard as I can.
