MYLES
(two days ago)

I EXPECTED FOR some time alone; to get a cigarette break and get away from everyone in that room, except I was approached by Oakland's High Queen bee staring at my cigarette, trying to be subtle about it but clearly failing to do so.

It was obvious she wanted to say something, I didn't even need to look at her to notice, her presence itself was already tense.

"What? Do you want to hit my cigarette or something?"

She didn't respond—as if she had trouble forming any words. Her eyes wandered over the space of the terrain, dumbfounded that I could be speaking to her.

I kept my eyes locked on her, still attentive to the fact she was eyeballing my cigarette not even 30 seconds ago.

Her eyes then swarmed over to me after her ruse of playing dumb. She shot a few long glances at my outfit; her eyes trailing over each and every aspect of me as if she hadn't noticed me before.

She clearly tried desperately to be vague with looking at me but it was futile, she was taking her precious time.

My eyes happen to do the same, shifting to the course of her body. Her dress was white, only long enough to reach her knees. Her back was slightly exposed, just enough to keep her modest image.

She had long brown hair that fell softly over her shoulders, and the light makeup on her eyes and lips accentuated her face.

Her personality conflicted with her image.

She was attractive, just a fucking buzzkill.

I reverted my attention from her, waiting for her to stop staring.

It was getting annoying.

Many girls would stare at me from time to time; as if they were afraid of confrontation, whether it was attraction towards me or fear.

I didn't need another fangirl.

Though she was looking at me disgusted, I could already sense the heat spreading across her cheeks just from my figure alone.

"What? No, I don't smoke.."

I hadn't even remembered that I talked to her just from how late her response was.

It was delayed.

Very delayed.

I hadn't cared too much to remember that she even would've replied.

She must have been too distracted by looking at me so much to notice her tardiness to answer my question.

"Well, you keep looking at me with that repulsed expression on your face. The fuck is your problem?"

"Well.. you are smoking... It's not allowed here."

I glanced at her, my eyes boring over to hers.

Was she just trying to find a reason to talk to me or was she actually serious?

She seemed serious; she looked like she was expecting for me to listen to her and drop my cigarette as if this was the climax of a damn Disney movie.
