"What just happened?"
I was the first one to say anything after the sun blotched out. Of course, I couldn't see anything, but I could still feel the warmth of the sun, so it must have just been here, at camp.
"A prophecy, Seaweed Brain." said Annabeth. I could just barely see her outline in the dark, her hand clutching mine.
"That was not a prophecy." said Will Solace, "They don't happen like that. And plus, the only prophetical source we have is the Grove of Dodona."
I could vaguely feel a crowd of about fifty demigods shifting. Plus, the Elves and Mary and Michael.
A flash of light, and a glowing orb of shifting colors was above us, and strands of light were weaving through the people, illuminating them. I looked at the source, and I saw Wylie and Michael doing some fancy light tricks. Mary had a double headed ax in her hand, Michael had a sword, the Elves had some weird gadgets, and we demigods had our respective weapons out. Riptide was in my hand and Annabeth had her knife handy.
Surprisingly, light flowed through the woods and the sun came into view. Sophie walked over to me and waved her hand in a gesture that meant for me to explain.
"Annabeth, care to explain?" I said, because everyone here knew that I was not the person you'd ask to explain, you'd ask Annabeth.
" I think we should gather in the Big House for a head counselor, and guests, meeting. Come on."
We all shuffled to our respective activities, and Me, Annabeth, Will, Miranda Gardiner, Sherman Yang, Nyssa, Connar Stoll, Nico, Butch, and Lou Ellen all went into the Big House around the ping pong table for the meeting.
Chiron also joined us in the meeting, introducing himself to the Elves, and apparently the Nierce (Was it?) and saying that they were allowed to stay as long as they need. I wasn't sure that they were here on purpose or wanted to stay. But I couldn't interrupt him.
"Soooo," said Michael, who was quite infamous with the whole never seen him before thing," does anyone know what just happened."
"Yes. We got a prophecy." said Mary. I was surprised she even knew what a prophecy was.
"WHY! We always get a prophecy! I was just about to leave for college next month! I can't almost dye!" said Annabeth.
"You mean Foster it, right?" said that guy who looked uncannily like Michael and Will, what was it, Keefe?
"What?" asked Annabeth.
"It means to almost die, because, let's face it, Foster's the Queen of almost dying."
"Keefe!" Sophie yelled, punching his arm.
"Ow"
"Annnyyyywwwwaaayy," said Will, who was getting uncomfortable, "What does the prophecy mean?"
"If we try to decipher it, we might not go." Reasoned Annabeth.
"But if we don't, we won't be able to do anything." retorted Mary. That was the first time I had seen anyone outsmart Annabeth, ever. Annabeth looked stunned, but she quickly recovered.
"Wait a minute!" Exclaimed Michael.
"What?" We all asked.
"Mary, the stone of the great! Get the book!"
I paused for a second before realizing what Michael meant. How was she going to get a book when she has nothing with her. Mary took out a small pin with a book on it from the small pouch on her belt. She flipped it high, gasps, when it landed on the table, it was a full-on ancient grimoire from the videogames. Black leather, a golden hourglass on the front, and two leather straps. Mary opened the book and flipped through the pages. All I saw was a bunch of weird symbols, but to them, it was a language. Mary found the page she was looking for and set it out in front of everyone.
I looked around, and everyone seemed to be stunned. Mary read it for us. "The stone of the great is a magical purple stone hidden in the valleys of the lost, it was said, that when put in the sword made of steel, silver, gold, and rock from the ancient palace, when put in an ancient boulder, it could heal any deity from all realms, meaning that with this sword, we could heal Rhea."
We were all stunned with this news. I looked at the pictures on those two pages, a beautiful sword, a gladius, I realized, had a pretty cool purple stone in the top middle, just above the hilt, that was shining, and the sword was stuck in the middle of what looked like a boulder with a crack in the middle.
"Well, looks like we are making a sword" I said, determined to heal the world.
