While we were discussing how to build the sword, Michael and Percy walked outside. Of course, Michael might have been maddened at Percy for talking to Mary like that, but I was curious about what they said. But when they were inside, Michael shot me a look, like, "it's nothing". We were all gathered around our new plan. Mary was to heat the forge with her magic (as Leo called it) fire, as to keep the sword's power alive. Leo was going to get to work on the metal, while Percy and Frank got water. Hazel and Calypso were to help control the gold and shape it. Michael was to light up the room. The rest of us were to help with materials and tools.
Then the group would worry about the stone. We set to work.
"Let's get down to business!" said Leo.
"To defeat, the Huns!" sang Percy teasingly.
Annabeth threw the remaining pizza at him.
"Hey!!!" whimpered Percy.
Mary fired up the forge, but from what she had told me, she had to be really mad to fire up like that. What made her this fired up? Could it have been the talk she had with Michael that Leo and Percy called them out on? I wondered what Michael and she had talked about to make her so mad.
Leo jumped me back to the present. He had been asking me to hold the metal up with telekinesis so that he could chop it up. I lifted the metal. I felt the familiar tug in my gut as it went high enough for Leo to cut it. The metal fell with a clang. When the metal was shaped and cool, Hazel and Calypso got to work. After a few hours, and a lot of hard work, the sword was finished. It looked just like the picture. Swirly gold designs, a bronze and hilt, and a bronze and silver double-edged blade.
The group just stared at it. Then cheers and hugs that the job was done.
"Where do we put it?" I asked.
Mary started flipping through the book. She seemed to have found what she was looking for. She read out loud.
"When the sword would be finished, the ones who have made it will go to Zeus' fist. They will heal the rift and country with the sword."
"Who's fist?" asked Keefe.
"Zeus's fist. It is on Half-Blood Hill." Said Piper.
"Great! We can all go there and--" said Percy.
"No. Me and Frank can't leave, not now. Piper, Calypso and Leo could." said Hazel, "Sorry."
"It's ok."
They hugged and said their goodbyes.
We all gathered together in a circle. I was holding Mary's hand, as to enhance her, and Keefe was holding Mary's other hand, as to keep her from getting overwhelmed. The reason of this arrangement was, I was not powerful enough to teleport all these people with the running technique, so we are going to need to use water-leaping.
"Wow" said Mary as soon as I turned on my enhancing. She had a glazed look in her eyes. Michael had one two, as he was the other hand on my other side. Tingling electricity brushed though our fingers.
"Ok. Three, two, one" Mary spoke. Then, she slowly pulled us along with her, into the evaporation, of water leaping.
We arrived at Hald-Blood Hill. The sun wasn't shining. The world was worse than when we had left. I turned off my enhancing. It was quite the experience water-leaping. In front of us was a large pile of rocks, and sure enough, one larger than the rest had a crack though it. Leo reached from the sword in Mary's hilt. She stepped away.
"No, this is not how it is done."
She motioned for me and the others to stand in a line in front of her and Michael. They held the sword and handed it to us in a very formal manner. As we grabbed it, a flash of light. When we all looked on, the sword had disappeared, and the crack was healed. The air shimmered. Cam turned back to normal, the sun shining, the strawberry fields full, the lake swift.
"Yes!" We all yelled. We were all happy that this had ended.
We all turned to each other. We each shook hands.
"We'll catch you later, ok!" said Mary. We all nodded.
Mary held my hand again, and we slipped into the air.
I did not know when we were to see the demigods again, but we were definitely going to see them again.
