Changing Fate

Chapter 12

Arashi's Point of View:

Once were back in Uzushio. I looked at Obito, knowing he had questions to ask.

"Why are you doing this?" Obito questions.

"Doing what?" I reply.

"Saving everyone when it would be easier to get rid of us?" Obito questions.

"That would be the easier path but that is not the path I choose. I can't allow people who were used as pawns and manipulated to die without ever knowing the truth. Not having the choice to determine their path of redemption. Everyone deserves to choose their own fate and it is my duty as a shinobi to accomplish such." I explain.

"Your a fool," Obito replies.

"But this fool was able to open your eyes to the truth. I was able to bring you over to my side so I count that as a win." I reply.

"You really are Minato sensei's sister aren't you?" Obito questions.

"Your doubting me after everything you have seen? I'm the spitting image of my brother," I say.

"Your so similar but so different," Obito replies.

"I guess we are," I state.

"Is everything you said the truth?" Obito questions.

"Why would I lie to you?" I answer.

"If you aren't lying then I am the fool for allowing my self to be tricked like that. I have caused so many to be harmed." Obito states.

"You were being controlled by a seal Obito. It wasn't your fault. Now that your free you can go on your journey of redemption," I say.

"Would Rin and Kakashi be able to forgive me? Would Naruto be able to forgive me? I killed Minato Sensei and Kushina. How can I ever be forgiven?" Obito states.

"Obito they all love you and would never want you to drown yourself in guilt. Rin is the person you loved could she ever hate you? She always stood by your side and always will. Kakashi is still alive and drowning in his own guilt of not saving his friend. All you have to do is return to his side and allow yourselves to heal. My brother is your sensei and he would never want to see his student in such a state. He was the person who told me to save you after all. Kushina was a mother to you all. She would never blame you for being manipulated into doing this. Naruto is a child with a kind soul. Instead of wanting forgiveness from you he would want an older brother." I explain.

"Minato sensei told you to save me?" Obito questions.

"When my brother was fighting you he was able to tell that you were being manipulated. He never told me if he knew it was you Obito, but I believe he did. Why else would he tell me to succeed in where he failed," I explain.

"But what do I do now?" Obito questions.

"That is something you must discover on your own. But before that I would appreciate if you help me take down Zetsu. To do that I need to know everything you know about Zetsu," I say.

"I don't know much about Zetsu other than the fact that he has two sides to him darkness and light. He is always around Madara and I. When he does leave it's usually on Madara's orders. I never really expected him to be responsible for this mess. But now thinking it over it makes sense. He never speaks about his past and completely obeys Madara knowing what is to occur next. That bastard is behind everything. I won't ever forgive him for manipulating me. What do you need me to do?" Obito asks.

"I need you to continue acting like you're under the control of the seal and be Tobi. Your duty is to create a rift between Zetsu and Madara. I know Madara is still alive but he is approaching death. It is easier to get through to Madara while he is closer to death since Zetsu's hold on Madara will loosen when nearing death. When Zetsu leaves Madara's side I need you to inform me and I will appear before Madara and show him proof of Zetsu's plan. Do you think you can do it?" I ask.

"Count me in! Taking down that plant bastard will be the first step to avenging and redeeming myself," Obito says.

"Now then hold out your arm so I can place my seal on you," I state.

Obito holds out his arm, and I start inking his Tobi mask. It's a seal that should prevent anyone from mind-controlling him again and allow him to bypass Zetsu's radar. As well as allowing him to contact me.

"Now then it's time I take my leave but don't ever forgot Obito you are considered family. After all my brother and his wife did take care of you as their own," I state.

"Wait Arashi," Obtio says.

"What is it?" I ask.

"Is Kakashi doing alright?" Obito questions.

"He is still drowning in grief and guilt. However he is on his path of recovery. I will make sure he heals," I state.

"Thank you," Obtio says.

"Don't thank me just yet there is many more battles to fight. When this is all over you can thank me. Bye Obito and don't get killed," I say.

"Who do you think I am? Tobi won't allow himself to get killed," Obito says.

With that, we both split ways.

"It seems you got that brat to listen to you," Kurama states.

"It seems so," I reply.

"Now then Kit shouldn't you send out your clones to go to the other Jinchuriki's and explain the situation?" Kurama questions.

"Holy shit! How did I forget to do that? I guess I should also send clones to Amegakure to keep an eye on things. Shadow Clone Jutsu!" I say.

"Your such a scatter brain, always forgetting things," Kurama states.

"And that's why I have you to help me out," I respond.

"Now that you have got the Jinchuriki's and Madara covered. All you have to do is take Danzo and Hanzo down while saving the Akatsuki," Kurama says.

"I guess your right," I reply.

"Now let's head back to the village before your mate and kit start looking for you," Kurama states.

"Kakashi isn't my mate!" I yell.

"Deny it all you want kit, soon you will realize," Kurama says.

"Shut it Kurama!" I yell.

I continue my journey back to Konaha, ignoring Kurama's laughter. After all, Kakashi and Naruto are waiting for me.
