chapter thirty two

2 days later — (also, i never explained it or went into detail but they had sex a couple weeks ago, like around 2-3 weeks so yea)

AURORA DROPPED the test into the floor, the brim of her eyes were filled with tears. it was like the world completely stopped, and all aurora could think about was 'how is ddot going to feel?'

her heart pounded loudly in her ear, eyes still trained on the pregnancy test. the test she thought she didn't need.

earlier this morning, aurora had raced out of her bed and into the downstairs bathroom, emptying the food that was in her stomach. she had been throwing up for 30 mins.

she thought it was a stomach bug that she got from a fast food place and waved it off, thinking nothing of it. until she stood in front of the mirror and noticed the slight bulge of her stomach, she couldn't have been bloated.

still she waved it off, finding it to be nothing serious or worth her stressing over.

— standing in the kitchen, making her and mekhi; who had stayed over — lunch, she realized her period hadn't come in quite a while.

"my period last came three weeks ago, it should be here." she had muttered to herself, she didn't want or need mekhi hearing.

so here she was, in her bathroom taking 5 different pregnancy test to see if her assumptions are correct.

her very last test was sitting on the silver stool, practically taunting aurora. when it changed, aurora felt her heart drop.

aurora james was pregnant. she was having a baby with darrien jimenez.

but what if he didn't want the baby? would he make her get rid of it? would he not be in their child life, or would he just not care since they were no longer together?

aurora's head fell into her hands as she cried. she was screwed. no child should be born in this lifestyle, with catherine still alive, and literally everyone out to get aurora — it was to risky for a child to be brought into this world.

she had three options —

1) don't tell anyone and get rid of the baby
2) don't tell anyone and keep the baby
or 3) tell everyone .. but what about the baby?

aurora stood up from the toilet after wiping herself, she 5 different water bottles stuffed in the trash can made tiny squeaking noises due to the air conditioning blowing harshly from the vent.

she flushed the toilet and moved to the sink to wash her hands.

she couldn't believe it. she was having a baby. she had always wanted a baby, especially with ddot.

he will forever be the love of her life, how could she not want one with him? 

"aurora you good?" mekhi knocked on the bathroom door. he had never noticed the girl rushing out of the kitchen to the bathroom, the food she had made, plus videos on his phone made it hard for him to focus on aurora.

aurora gulped, "i-i'm fine." she calls back. 'no i'm not.' she thought. her hands grabbed all of the test, (not forgetting the one on the stool) shoving them into her back pocket and using her shirt to cover them up.
