Chapter 5 Sorry....

-2 years later..-

Reader's POV:

I managed to escape. But now I had no idea where I was. I walled many months looking for something.
I found a specific red head and walked over.

"Gaara?" I questioned close to them. The blonde, the black hair and the red head turned around.

"Who are you?" Gaara asked. I stared at him.

"It's me... (f/n).." I whispered hopefully. Temari brightened but then darkened. Kankuro glared at me. I felt like I sparked something in Gaara. I was in the forest. Gaara glared at me and then his sand pushed me against a tree the grip tightening.

"You left us!!" Gaara yelled. I struggled.

"I-" I started. His sand got tighter.

"Leave us alone." He said and let me go and walked off. I fell to the ground. I started sobbing. I ran off hoping to get somewhere. I bumped in to a group. It was a boy with blonde hair and a girl with pink hair. I blinked at them and flinched away.

"Hey who are you? I'm Naruto!" The blonde said. The girl flicked him.

"Sorry about him. I'm Sakura, what's your name?" The girl with pink said. I looked at them. Soon another guy appeared.

"Yo, I'm Kakashi," a dude with silver hair said. I trembled. Sakura noticed and kneeled down and hugged me.

"Hey what's wrong?" She asked. They took me with them after I calmed down and introduced myself. They were apparently on a mission and had to partner up with Gaara's team...

"We're here!" Naruto yelled. The three looked at them and then glared at me. Kakashi, Naruto and Sakura looked at me. I took a step towards them bravely.

"My dad found me and took me.. I only managed to escape a few months ago... And finally found you.." I said my voice was tiny. Gaara lifted his hand. Temari held it in air. I knew what he was gonna do. I started tearing up.

"Kaoru is my fault I wouldn't listen and you said he will kill one of you.." I whimpered. Gaara's eyes widened and flinched away away from Temari's hold and.... Slap. Everyone heard. The burn on my cheek was nothing. Gaara opened his mouth.

"I loved you." Gaara whispered. Temari and Kankuro stared at him shocked. I stared at him. Loved...? I wondered.

"Why in past tense?" I asked. Gaara looked at me and turned away. I looked down.

"I see.." I whispered.

"I'll be right back..." I whispered and ran off to a part of the forest. Sakura came up to Gaara and he turned around and Sakura slapped him. Temari did too. Temari went after me. I cried and curled up. The last thing I wanted to hear from Gaara were those words. I felt arms wrap around me. I looked and saw it was Temari.

"He was lying," Temari said softly. I looked at her.

"What happened.. That night?" She asked. I shrugged.

"I woke up in a room and got beaten if you can't tell," I said looking at my clothes. I teared up again..

"I'm sorry!" I yelled and hugged her.

"I know it felt like I left you hurt, I would've come back sooner I didnt know where I was I'm sorry.." I whispered. Temari rubbed my head.

"Gaara loves you, I know this, he hasn't been the same since you disappeared and especially since the moment he found Kaoru dead.." Temari whispered. I sobbed.

"I'm sorry." I whimpered. Temari held me.
