Chapter 20 Is This The End..?

After endless struggles and nothing, I fell down and leaned against the bars. I couldn't cry... I was tired. I was scared. 

"Gaara..." the name escaped my lips just as I heard a scream. My eyes widened and I jumped up and hit my head on the bars. I glared at the bars while cursing. I sighed heavily and l listened carefully looking at the bird. I inhaled a deep breath and closed my eyes. I got on my knees and pressed my hands together in a pray. "Please give me strength.." I whispered just as I heard the door creak open. My eyes snapped open and I got off the ground to look at the man I despised to much, so much I could kill him. 

"So we meet again," he smirked.

"What did you do to him?" I roared dangerously quietly. His laugh made me sick.

"Oh nothing special, nothing that could possibly kill him, I mean.. he does have a demon inside him.." He started. 

"GO DIE!" I yelled and turned my back on him. His laugh.. really made me want to puke.

"Well too bad if you don't want to talk, I'll just go finish what I should've finished," he said monotonously turning around as well. My eyes widened and I spun around to face his back.

"No!" I opposed. He turned his head towards me his silver eyes sparkling. 

"Alright, I changed my mind," he said with a mischievous smile.

"What do you want?" I spat with a piercing glare. He was smiling.

"I want to finish my experiment," he said smirking. 

"Fine, let him go and him as well and.." I started pointing to the small bird in the cage. "I'll do whatever you say," I added. He laughed.

"I doubt you'll keep you word, but too bad you have to," he chuckled. He grabbed his keys and unlocked the cage of the bird. The small bird and me exchanged looks. The bird flew downward and grabbed his keys and threw them to me. I caught them as the bird flew out to look for Gaara. I unlocked the door and just as the man was going to grab the keys I kicked him in the ding dong and shoved him inside and locked the bars. I raced through the long hallways as I heard groaning sounds from the room I escaped. The bird whistled and I ran over and unlocked the door it was beneath. I slammed the door open to see a bruised and bleeding and shirtless Gaara. His arms were chained up and he was unconscious is seemed. My eyes widened.  I cursed under my breath and ran towards the chained up male. I tried a few silver and golden and bronze keys before the right one fit. I unlocked the chains and he fell on me. I managed to get up and put him over to my shoulder. Just after that we escaped. And ran. I ran as fast as I could with Gaara's weight on me. I  threw the keys away and kept sprinting. My legs ached. I ignored them...

Just until I crashed on to the ground my legs going completely. My breath seemed to hitch as I stopped breathing for those seconds. Those seconds seemed dangerous as everything went black. I woke up by someone shaking me. I couldn't move..

"(f/n)!! (f/n)!!!" it was Gaara's voice. I couldn't move... "Shit!" He screamed as I felt him lift me up on to his shoulder and run. I could feel his body shaking from the cuts and bruises my "dad" gave him. I heard soft sobs coming from him. 

Of course everything went black again after that. 

It was too long before I heard voices again, I wish I didn't.

"Only the bird they had with them is okay," it was a girl's voice. 

"We'll take the bird! It's something precious if the birdy came with them!" it was Temari..

"What about them?" Kankuro's voice sounded.

"She's in coma, she'll wake up soon probably, but the male... I really don't know.." 

I wanted to clap my hands over my ears and scream, yell at them that they're wrong. I wish I didn't have to hear that. I wish I wasn't powerless...

"Pft, Don't tell me that, he'll survive, plus how can you say that in front of (f/n), just 'cause she can't move doesn't mean she can't hear you," 

Oh I love you Temari, this is why you're my sister.

"She's right," Kankuro agreed. I heard the women sigh.

"Of course," she said, she seemed to be smiling in my opinion.

Then it all disappeared again. 

I woke up in a field of long thick grass, I was in a yellow dress with some flowers on it, in many colors. I looked at the nice light blue sky with fluffy clouds floating in that sky. 

"(f/n)," it was Gaara's voice. I sat up shaking my head of the grass and looked around for him. As he suddenly was kneeling in front of me. I smiled and tackled him in to a hug.

"Your okay!" I screeched happily. I felt him chuckle under my arms.

"I really hope I am," he said with a sad tone. I looked at him underneath me. 

"Eh?" I asked. He smiled brushing my face with his hand.

"I'm on the brink of dying, stupid, your going to survive," he said smiling. I teared up. 

"No! You'll survive!!!" I screamed and cried. Gaara gave me a pained smile.

"I love you," he planted a kiss on my lips while tears fell from my eyes. 

..

I opened my eyes to see a white room. That was first before I heard yelling and worried cries.

"Quick! Come on! He's dying!" a male yelling. I turned my head and saw the crowd of doctors and nurses with their materials and then raised my eyes to the meter. To see the last thing I wanted to see..

His heart... was about to stop...

"No..." I cried. Temari and Kankuro looked at me instantly with teary eyes. I sat up with a shocked expression. 

"(f/n).." Temari whispered.

"No!!!!!!!!!!!!" I screamed and made half of the doctors jump and shush me. I covered my ears as the beeping sound continued.

I'm so sorry Gaara..

I'm so sorry...

I'm so worthless and weak..

I'm so sorry...

Please forgive me...

Because I wont ever forgive myself..
