Chapter 3

 ***Addy's POV***

The familiar face was none other than Jace Alexander. He slammed his hand down on the table. I jolted at the motion.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?", I said as I took out my headphone and looked at him.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?", he questioned right back at me as he crossed his arms over his chest.

"I asked you first, and lets not forget the fact that this is my table", I said as I gave him the best dirty look I could.

"Okay, well lets start with the fact that you were in every single one of my classes today", he said as he leaned back in his chair.

"As I've already stated, I'm just following my schedule, which is something I have no control over.", I said as I took a sip of my root beer that was in front of me.

"Yeah I bet, just leave me alone would you", he said as he got up just as abruptly as he came.

***Jace's POV***

There was just something about this new girl that I couldn't put my finger on. Adalyn Hunt was her name. She was beyond gorgeous, and not to mention she was in every single one of my classes. I wish I could get her off my mind. I didn't even know her. Yet I was drawn to her, she was the only girl here to catch my eye since I've been here. I just don't want her to get hurt...

***Addy's POV***

I pop my headphone back in and continue to eat, when I see another figure take sit in the chair, this time when I looked up I was relieved to see it was Spence.

I took my headphone out and smiled at her.

"Heyya girly! How was your day, I hope you don't mind me sitting here", she chirped as she put her plate full of food down.

"No, join me please before I get anymore unwanted guests", I said as I took a bite of my sandwich.

She gave me a questioning look to which I answered, "Jace, you know Logan's bestfriend, just sat down with me yelled at me because I bumped into him in the hallway and then because my schedule is the same as his told me to leave him alone and then left."

"That's odd. He's literally only said one word to me, but Logan tells me he can talk his ear off. From what I know his family is a very famous, for many reasons. But he didn't want that life style, which is why he is here. No one really knows his life, except Logan, and Logan doesn't want to talk about Jace's life much must be a bro code thing", Spence said as she opened the lid to her salad and drowned it in ranch.

I know, I know, it sounds disgusting but I promise it looked amazing. I'd rather have that than the cheeseburger and fries I had.

"I don't know, I've caught him starring at me constantly. Then he yelled at me earlier and just a few minutes ago, like I don't care what his problem is. He needs to quit being an ass", I said as I bit into my cheeseburger.

"Girl, I agree there's no need for him to act that way. I mean at least he has said something to you. I walk into the room and he runs away", she said as she took the last bite of her salad.

"I don't know, I just don't like it. I am going to get to the bottom of it though", I said as I finished my cheeseburger. 

***2:00pm***

We threw away our trash after we finished eating fully. We made our way to the weight room.

"Now, I know you haven't fully been introduced to boxing lessons so let me help you. First step, we have to check in with our student ID at this time clock looking thing. They don't take attendance like they do in class so to get credit for this quote on quote class we scan our badge", she said as she scanned her badge and then had me scan mine.

"Secondly we need to get into our workout attire", Spence said as she led me into the locker room to get changed. I put on a pair of black spandex shorts and a peach colored athletic tank top, and of course I put on my black pair of Nike tennis shoes. I walked back out into the weight room to meet Spence. She had changed into pink spandex shorts, a black athletic tank top and a pair of black Nike tennis shoes.

"And lastly, you get to pick what you do for your quote on quote lessons. So if you feel like just lifting weights, you can. You want to work out with a partner, go for it. You want to punch the punching bag, you can. You want to take it easy for a day and run on the treadmill? Go for it. It's completely up to you. They just want to make sure you are in here doing something. You get to prepare you in the best way to get you ready for your boxing match, we are the top students in the state so we know what works best for us. One thing you will notice is all students are in here from 2:30pm-6:30pm. There is only 25 students all together in this school so it isn't a lot of people. With all this being said, today since it is your first day, we will train together, if you don't mind of course", Spence said as she walked toward the first thing we were doing together, the leg press. I nodded and followed her ready to start the lessons.

***6:30pm***

"The lesson is over. Now we have the option to stay and practice more of we can call it quits and head back to our dorm", she said as she looked at me with sweat dripping from her forehead she turned to me, "I'll let you pick"

"I think I'm done for the day, I am tired and in need of a shower and some food", I said as I grabbed my bag from the corner of the room.

"Okay sounds good, we can stop by the café and pick something up so we don't have to cook. And then we can walk tv while we eat", Spence said as she also picked up hers.

"Okay deal", I said as we scanned our badges to "check out" of our lessons and headed to the café. I decided on a salad like Spence ate earlier and she got a hot shredded chicken sandwich and some chips. We carried our food back to our dorm where she called first shower. I went to my room to pick out some pajamas to wear, lime green silky pants and a black t-shirt that had 'Made Yah Look' in lime green letters. Once I heard Spence leave the bathroom I quickly made my way in there feeling gross from our lesson session.

After my shower I left the bathroom and found Spence laying on the couch. I grabbed a teal fuzzy blanket off my bed and my food from the counter and then snuggled into the couch as Spence turned on the tv show, The Adventures of Billy and Mandy. We were about halfway through the episode when we heard a banging at our door. I quickly threw back my covers and answered the door. When I opened it I seen, Logan Andrews, Spencer's boyfriend.

"Baby? What is it? I thought you had to work tonight?", she questioned him as she rushed up beside me.

"I do or I mean I did, I need you guys to come with me. Please", he begged. 

We barely had time to close our dorm room door before he drug us over to his dorm, which was right across the hall in case you were wondering. He opened his door and revealed his dorm, very vibrant blue and black colors covered the walls. His dorm was laid out the same as mine just different colors. Jace sat on the couch, a bruise was showing on his stomach and his lip was bleeding. He was sitting up and had wide eyes when I entered the room in my pajamas.
