SARA'S POV-
It had been almost an hour since the front desk lady Choi Seo jin was explaining to me the job and all the work ethics. I just wondered who was sitting at the front desk if she was there with me all the time. Did they have substitutes who filled in your place when you're busy? Really beat me.
.
Me:
I'm not done yet. It might take some more time.
(I opened up the chats mentioning that Hye jin Unnie was already there to pick me up.)
Unnie:
Just ask her when she'll relieve you?!
.
Helpless, I gathered up all of the courage and swiftly walked behind her. "And there we go! This is the cafeteria, which only staff members can use." She was still in her own world, careless if I was even listening to her.
"I'm sorry to interrupt ma'am but when will we be done?" I asked as the longing of going home and resting stroke in.
"We're not done yet. I still have to show you the practice room of the boys." She muttered and went on muttering about the company. "Um...I-I'll figure it out." I spoke abruptly.
"No, it won't take long-" I cut her off in desperation to escape from her clutches. "Ms. Seo jin, you look tired after all of the work."
"Oh no, young lady. I'm fine." She cleverly left me no chance to escape.
"No, you should really take a break. Besides, I assume there's no one at the front desk; people might need your guidance there as well." She squinted her eyes after noticing my ploy.
"I'll take care of it tomorrow and i-if there's a problem, I'll surely call you for help, right?" I asked in a pleading tone.
"Okay, I understand that you want to go home. But no excuses like this will be accepted furthermore." She ordered.
"Yes, I got that. Thank you so much. Have a great time!" I rambled and mended my way out of the lobby as I was about to consume the air out of hunger.
After a fulfilling meal, I told Unnie everything about the happenings throughout the day. "What band did you say it was?" She hopped in the car beside me.
"Nex/gen." I buckled up my seat belt.
"Oh My God! Are you serious?" She squealed. "Why? What happened?" I asked, surprised.
"I can't believe you're interpreting for them." She did a happy dance while I looked her dead into the eyes to keep me in the dark.
"Sara, you don't have a single idea of how famous and dead-ass rich they are!" There we go. I assumed that the total ride was going to be about them now.
"They're very famous and stand among the top five boy-bands to have collaborated with international artists." Her voice faded in the background while I cupped my cheeks thinking of how the official first day at work was going to be.
'And you know what? They also have the record breaker of best choreography, best vocals and rap and a streak of winning the national and international awards through the years.'
'You're just so lucky! I can't imagine this is happening!'
'I'm so happy for you, Sara!' It was very obvious that this girl was crazy and a total freak for this band. She was literally worshiping them and fan-girling with her whole heart; and all I could do was not believe in her level of craziness.
