"Beans, beans, the magical fruit, the more you eat, the more you--"
"First of all," Mason started, "Beans aren't a fruit. And you're stupid."
Jayy gave a childish pout and crossed his red robed covered arms, his cap shifting down and blocking his face, "psh. No I'm not. I'm graduating high school!"
"You still act like you're ten," I said, "you begged me to make you Mac n Cheese last night."
"Hey, Macaroni and cheese is great," he gave a pointed look. I rolled my eyes.
"Hey, why are you shaking?" Jeffree suddenly asked Mason. At this point, everyone was staring at him now.
He fidgeted, "um. Well, you know how I'm going to move out, right? That means I won't be with my parents anymore. And that also means that I can come out without the chances of being thrown on the street."
"Wait." Rory stared at him, "are you going to come out during your speech?!"
"Hush!" his cheeks tainted pink, "it's not a big deal."
"Honey, anyone coming out is a big deal." Jeffree said.
I smiled, "I think what your doing means you have balls of steel."
"Yeah," Chris said, "you're not only coming out to your parents, but also everyone in the audience."
Mason seemed to pale. We all shot him glares. He winced apologetically.
Clearing his throat and straightening his shoulders, his green eyes shined brighter, "I can do this."
June 1st. Graduation. Who would have thought we would actually make it? With all the times some of us almost got killed, people would think we'd be in an asylum coocoo for Coco Puffs.
Future plans? Jayy and I have accepted a record label from Dark Fantasies. Our first album will be coming out next month. Our YouTube channel will go on, but the activity on it will most likely cease as we focus on our music more than anything.
As we all sat in our assigned seats next to each other, Mason grabbed my right hand and Jayy grabbed the left. We all gave grins to each other, but when Masons name was suddenly called to the stage, it slipped off his face. I smiled and squeaazed his fingers once before he got up.
As he climbed the stairs, I looked in the crowd to see his parents, especially his mother, were smiling, posture straight in pride.
"Thank you all for coming," he started. He cleared his throat, and that was when I realized he didn't have a speech written. It was from the heart.
"Four years in this school, have probably been the most amazing in my life. And I know not just me, but almost everyone else in class of 2017 agree with me." there were some whoops and cheers in our crowd of agreement, "for instance, I met some of !y best friends now, Dahvie, Skylar, Jeffree. They mean so much to me and I don't know if I could live without them; especially with all the homework we get. We got each others back to get it done - whoever has it done, they are a God to let us copy it." laughter in both of the crowds, making Mason smile. He seemed to get bolder, "I think friendship is the main thing about high school. They're the main thing that gets you through anything. They help with the little things, like making you smile, and the big things, like..."
I bit my lips when he trailed off. Come on, you can do it.
"Like, for me, making you accept yourself..." he gulped, "I hope every one in this class a final farewell and hope they have a bright future. It might sound hallow, I know, but words can't fill some things."
I frowned. He couldn't do it.
He stepped away from the pedostool, and both sides uproared. I jumped from my seat along with my friends and clapped so hard I thought my hands would fly &. I looked in the crowd again and saw, unlike everyone else, Masons mother was sitting and staring at the stage dumstruck while her husband was standing and clapping.
Not only surprising me, I blinked in shock when my big brother himself, Bradley, suddenly walked up the stage before Mason could climb down.
Mason, in utter surprise, backed up and looked at him questionably. Brad only grinned as he picking up the microphone.
"Hello, ladies and gentlemen. My name is Bradley Allen. No, I am not a student of this school, seeing I have graduated a year ago, but I came here because I need to ask my boyfriend a very important question."
My eyes went wide along with my mouth as I saw him pull out the black box, "oh my God."
Jeffree and everyone looked at me confused, "What?"
"He's gonna..."
My words traled off as I watched the brunette get on one knee in front of my best friend who's hands flew to his face to cover his gaping mouth, "Its not so romantic. But then again, words can't fill some things; though actions can." He opened the box, "marry me?"
It went dead silent for a second or two before Mason, who was standing next to the pedostool, had the microphone on it catch his breathless reply, "oh, my God. Yes."
Mr. And Mrs. Miller's jaws dropped when Mason got on his knees in front of him and kissed him. I shivered, grossed out when I saw their tongues slide across each other. Ew, man. That's my brother.
When Mason got back, everyone screamed in delight and pulled the blond in their arms in a bone hugging crush, including me and Jayy who made a three way hug. He smiled at us, though it looked strained but utterly esatic.
I hugged him, hard, "I'm so happy for you, future brother in law."
When he hugged back with twice the amount of strength, the loud screech of a microphone made us part and sit down, "now, let's get with the ceremony!"
~~
"Its not going to fit. Its too big!"
"Like hell it isn't."
"Dammit, Jayy, of you break it, I will never kiss you again."
He sighed and rolled his eyes, shoving the shirt in the suitcase before kind of leaning all his body weight on it as he zipped it closed. He finished, out of breath, "see?"
I rolled my eyes before grabbing the bags, "whatever. Come on, the owner is going to be there soon with the key."
"Kay," he gave me a quick kiss before we both started to the door, playfully bumbing hips as we went.
