"Prom queen! Make sure to vote for me!"

"Jeffree... I don't mean to burst your bubble, but.." I started, giving the freshman an apologetic smile as the tranny shoved the flyer in his face. I had to practically run to keep up with him, "the school staff already made it very clear that you can't run for queen,"

"Pssh," his back was to me as he taped up another flyer, "that won't stop me,"

I sighed, "Jeffree..."

Prom. Who's sick idea was it to invent such a thing? A total night of dread for the single people and loners. Some come to actually party, spiking the punch bowl and playing pranks on chaperon's. There are also the ones that just take the opportunity to dance dirty on the dance floor out of the adults visions. Then there are the stoners (cough, Jesse, cough, Thomas) that just waste the night away in the bathrooms, passing a joint. Others come for the food and to sit alone whilst watching the crowd, wishing to fit in. Then there are the ones that don't come at all, staying at home and watching Netflix with a tub of ice cream at their side.

"You should be thankful enough you got the part for Juliet," I said, continuing to follow him around the cafeteria.

"Because I am an amazing queen," he said, flipping his short pink hair, exposing his neck.

I gaped. "Is that a tattoo?"

He gave me a question glance before mindlessly caressing it with his pointy polished nails. He shrugged, resuming his errand of taping up the flyer, "yeah. I got it a while ago."

"I've never noticed it," I mused. I shook my head before sighing, "no matter what I say, you're still going to do it, aren't you?"

"Yep,"

"And if you end up getting suspended?"

"Then that means I get a day off school. What's so bad about that?" he have me a cocky lopsided smirk, making me smile in return.

I shook my head, "your call."

He finished the flyer and turned towards me for the first time, opening his mouth to speak, but a voice behind us cut him off.

"Dahvie!!"

"Huh?- oof!" a hurl of colors were coming for me and before I could react, arms clung desperately around me. I looked down, blinking in shock as I saw my music teacher, "wha- Mr. Mcaferty?? What the hell are you-"

"I need your help!" he cut me off as he wailed.

I let out a long, audible sigh before prying his arms off me, "why do you always ask me for help?"

"Because you're the only one that can help me!" I swear I thought he'd get on his knees as his hands wrapped around themselves in an almost praying begging manner, "please??"

Eyes in the room were starting to notice his loud pleading and I shifted, "um. People are starting to stare, so can you just--"

"I'll stop if you accept!!" this time he actually did get on his knees, "please?!"

"I don't even know what you!--" people started whispering in slight concern. I bit my lip before caving in, flailing my arms, "okay! I accept whatever it is! Just stand up like a normal person, please!"

He jumped up almost immediately after, all looks of pleading off of his face before he clapped his hands, "yay!"

I felt the urge to punch him as I glared, "what do you need that is so important?"

His face went back to dread, "our Romeo for the play. He got hurt trying to do a bike jump."

"Okay. And?"
