"what about?" i ask knowing exactly what he's on about, i was just acting stupid to try and avoid it
"you know what it's about" he says
i just look at him not knowing what to say
"so, have you thought about it?" he asks me
"i have actually" i reply
"so tell my your thoughts, i just want to know, i don't care if it hurts me" he carries on
i take a deep breath
"i'm going to be honest with you ok?" i say trying to prepare my self
"just tell me everything i'm listening" he says
"right ok... i really like you sharks but i don't want to get hurt again" i say
"why would you think i'd hurt you?" he asks me
"look when johnny cheated on me i became a sad, isolated person and i was really hurt. i can't do that again i promised my self i wouldn't let that happen, and if you like your ex still it might happen again" i say tearing up
"don't get upset till" he says trying to reassure me
i can't hold them in anymore, i break down
i start sobbing
"tilly don't cry i'll explain everything" sharky says
he hugs me and i cry in his arms
he strokes my hair and starts explaining
"look, my ex was my first proper relationship, we were dating for a few years and when we broke up broke my heart. she was my first love and i'll always have something deep down for her, but doesn't everyone have that for their first love? but this doesn't mean i won't ever hurt you, you're different till, and i'm really starting to love you" he explains
i calm my self down a bit
"i really like you sharks, i just don't want to get hurt" i say
"i know i know, and i never will" he says
"look why don't we go out tonight? and we can maybe talk a bit more or do whatever you want to do" he says
"yeah i'd like that" i say
i wipe my tears and he hugs me again but tighter this time.
"just get ready and i'll come back later to pick you up ok?" he says
i nod my head inside the hug
he kisses my forehead and leaves
i then wipe all my tears and compose my self
once i composed my self i started getting ready
