April 2nd, 11:09 pm, year 849. (Immediately following the ending of chapter 5 'Exhaustions Eventual Collapse')....

Hange was furious.

She made sure to lock Levi's door on her way out, plastic baggie swinging with each step. She had been sure to remove it from his office, not wanting to leave it for him to find, again.

She held herself together for him. He needed her, and she was more then happy to help.

Yet, she was pissed.

Pissed at whoever was behind this.

Pissed at her commander, who had so selfishly scolded Levi for his concern.

Her fists collided with his door almost painfully, but not as a knock to ask permission to enter.

Rather, as a blind accident as she reached for the handle.

She shoved the door open.

Erwin was pinching the wick of a candle, killing the flame so he could head to bed.

He quickly turned to see who had entered so abruptly, "Excuse me, that's-".

"Fuck you, Erwin." Hange seethed, storming over to him.

His eyebrows raised.

She shoved the bag to his chest, not even attempting to soften the blow of her knuckles. "Fuck you." She repeated.

He watched her with a wide expression, he hadn't ever seen her so upset. This was extremely out of character.

Carefully, he glanced down. Looking back up to her once more, he took the bag.

Immediately regretting his decision to hold it from the bottom, he quickly shifted to hold the top. Not liking the feeling of whatever the soft and liquid contents in his palm.

It almost made Hange laugh; that he was uncomfortable.

Imagine how (Y/n) felt.

His brows furrowed, focusing in the dark.

Was that, hair?

Yes, hair. Surrounded by blood.

It was thick, chunky almost.

"What-"

"That was on Levi's desk." She cut him off, shamelessly. Her tone was sharp, cold. "Clearly you don't think this situation is very important. Hopefully this will change your mind."

Erwin inhaled slowly, "I never said-"

She cut him off again, "You told him to get over it." She snarled. "Get over it? Are you fucking kidding me?"

Erwin sighed.

"You've got to be a certain kind of asshole to say something as stupid as that. What the hell were you thinking?"

He opened his mouth, looking as if he was going to say something. Then shutting it.

"Actually, you probably weren't. Because you don't put any thought into anything that doesn't involve you and your damn missions. How selfish are you?"

"He hasn't gotten any work done, there's things we need to do." Erwin's voice was low.

"This is exactly what I'm talking about!" She snapped, raising her hands accusingly.

"What?" He barked back, "That I'm trying to do my job?"

"You can still do your job without being a dick!"

"I've given him time."

Hange laughed. A sharp, bitter laugh. "Yeah, right. It's like you don't even care about him at all. Have you ever given a shit or was is all just fake?"
