7:29 am, March 3rd, year 846 (same day where the last chapter ended)...
Metal shoes hit the cobble roads loudly as voices filled the air. The atmosphere was loud and chaotic as everyone prepared to go.
Spinning the silver band around his finger, Levi stared blankly at the wall ahead. He was deep in thought until his view became disrupted.
Glancing up he met the gaze of his commander.
"You remember where we're going? I'm trusting you to lead." Erwin asked, adjusting himself in the saddle slightly. The leather groaning underneath the weight.
"No, actually. I forgot. Even though we went over it about... 20 times, I can't seem to remember." Levi replied sarcastically, his voice flat, his eyes unwavering.
Erwin sighed, ignoring his comment. Nudging his horse, they moved away.
Levi could hear Erwin shout, getting everyone's attention. Running through his usual speech.
Levi wasn't paying attention.
The gate opened, light pouring in.
His horse danced in place, snorting loudly in anticipation.
Once he heard Erwin's final yell, they were off.
Everyone followed in suit, galloping down the road and out the gate. The horses steps silencing into a dull thud as soon as they hit the grass.
Leading the pack, Levi charged forward.
3:48 pm...
"So, why didn't you go on this mission?" (Y/n) asked, trying to fit an enormous about of diapers into one singular bin.
"Erwin wouldn't let me." Hange pouted, rattling a small baby toy before placing it with the rest.
(Y/n) had asked Hange for some help organizing all the baby stuff, she was glad to help out.
"He wouldn't let you?" She asked, looking up from her supplies.
"No... remember when I twisted my ankle last week?" (Y/n) nodded. "To much of a risk, he didn't want me to make it worse or have it get me into trouble."
"Ah. That's to bad." (Y/n) gave her a sympathetic look. "I'm honestly kind of surprised he had you stay. Usually he puts his work above anyones health or safety."
Hange nodded, "He does, doesn't he?" She frowned.
(Y/n) felt bad talking about her commander like this, but it was true. It was very clear the most important thing to Erwin was his work, he would put it above anything else.
"Has he always been like that?" She asked.
Hange nodded again, "I think he had some sort of relationship before I ever met him, don't think it worked out to well though. He never talked about it." She sighed, "Him, Levi and I used to be pretty close. Not so much these days though. He's so busy."
(Y/n) hummed in acknowledgment.
Another contraction hit her. Apparently it wasn't as secretive as she thought.
"You good?" Hange asked, she was watching her.
(Y/n) nodded, "Yeah. Just been having some minor contraction stuff going on. I thought it was time, but, turns out they've just been false."
"Well, you better tell that baby to wait. Levi will be pissed if you have this child without him here."
(Y/n) laughed, "Yeah, I know."
