A Day Spent

With Him

★☆★☆★

The car ride to the theme park was nothing short of perfect. With my phone plugged in and our shared playlist blasting through the speakers, I sang along to every song, completely immersed in the moment. Every now and then, I'd glance over at Pablo, who was trying, and failing, to hold back his laughter at my exaggerated performances. At one point, I turned to him with a mischievous grin, dramatically belting out the lyrics of one of our favorite songs as if I were performing on stage.

He shook his head, chuckling. "You're unbelievable."

"You love it," I teased, sticking my tongue out at him.

He just smiled, one hand had his fingers tapping against the steering wheel in rhythm with the song, and the other hand rested on my thigh, tapping his thumb against my skin. The drive wasn't long, but it felt like time had slowed down just enough for us to enjoy every second together. The past week had been nothing short of magical. Being Pablo's girlfriend again, this time without any doubts or rushed feelings, felt like a second chance we both truly deserved. I still couldn't believe how everything had fallen into place so perfectly.

Oh by the way I decided to wear a white crop top with some nice jeans shorts, I paired these with some white Jordans. I did bring a jacket with me in case I felt cold, which I feel is going to happen. I did a simple look for my make-up and let my hair down to flow naturally, nothing too high-end, I mean we are going to a theme park anyway, so there is no need to go over the top. Pablo wore a white button-up shirt, the ones you see men wearing at the beach all the time with some black cargo shorts, I must say, despite it being a simple fit, it was still one of my favorite outfits to see him in.

As we pulled into the parking lot of the theme park, excitement bubbled inside me. It had been so long since I'd last been to one, and the moment I stepped out of the car, I was instantly hit with that nostalgic rush—the sound of laughter and chatter, the faint scent of buttery popcorn mixed with sugary cotton candy, and the distant screams of thrill-seekers riding the roller coasters.

I turned to Pablo, practically bouncing on my feet. "I don't even know where to start!"

He laughed at my enthusiasm, reaching for my hand. "How about we start with a ride? Then food."

I smiled, squeezing his hand in agreement. "Perfect plan."

And with that, we made our way inside.

The energy of the theme park was contagious. Even though it wasn't too crowded, the atmosphere still buzzed with excitement—bright lights flashing from the different rides, the occasional bursts of laughter and screams from roller coasters, and the sweet scent of cotton candy and popcorn filling the air. Pablo's hand was still tightly wrapped around mine, his grip warm and reassuring, and I found myself smiling without even realizing it.

After buying our tickets, we wasted no time and headed straight for the rides. I was determined to experience as many as possible, dragging Pablo along with me. He pretended to protest, but the small smile tugging at the corner of his lips gave him away.

The first ride we picked was one of the biggest roller coasters in the park, a towering structure with loops, sharp drops, and enough twists to make even the bravest riders nervous. As we waited in line, I felt a familiar rush of anticipation building inside me.

"I haven't been on a roller coaster in a while," I admitted, glancing up at the massive ride.

Pablo turned to me with a teasing smirk. "Does that mean you're scared?"
