THE GIRL IN THE WINDOW
"Bruce I have unpleasant news, the next killing will happen today," Nyla said to Bruce over the phone. They didn't have time and a person's life was at stake, "Who was he going for next?" Nyla asked herself. What could she have missed, Nyla had to find more information before another killing occurred. She asked Bruce to meet her at the crime scene perhaps they could find a clue. Bruce reached the destination still waiting for Nyla when a cab pulled over, it was her. They made their way into the warehouse where Stephen had been murdered, looking around at the crime scene, They found nothing odd at first glance, everything was the same. Nyla ventured into the warehouse alone, she took one step after another looking around at everything, it looked like she'd reached a dead end. Nyla looked at the wall which seemed to be covered by something, wondering if she could peel it off. When Bruce caught up, "What's this?" He asked. "Help me peel this off there's something behind it," Nyla told him, As Nyla and him took it off they were confused it wasn't something they'd expected. It wasn't a terrifying message but it was what seemed to be a beautiful painting of a woman, peeking out the window. There was nothing that could be of help, Nyla was feeling hopeless. They were leaving the warehouse, halfway out when Nyla realized something. A sense of a backlash hit her it was of the painting, with the signature, the date. Was this just an illusion? Nyla thought thinking she was just tired. But she couldn't leave without being sure. Nyla went back along with Bruce who followed her asking if something was wrong, there it was the painting before her eyes. "Is there something wrong Nyla?" Bruce asked worried, Nyla stared at the painting not finding the signature. When she noticed a drop of paint falling to the ground, this painting had just recently been made but that wasn't possible, and who was it who created it where a murder took place? Bruce said that the warehouse was closed down and no one came here, made sense why would anyone want to come to a place with such a dark past? When Bruce suddenly started wiping bits of the painting, he had a bad feeling about it. He wiped some of it to find something written behind it, it was a number. Nyla knew something was wrong, there indeed was something wrong with the painting. Wiping most of it off, and the numbers were revealed. Nyla was astounded, she took her phone out that had a picture of the date that was scratched onto Stephen's body, it was in fact the same date. They needed to find the person who had made this painting immediately, They needed to save her.
"Do you think they will be able to find you and "save" you?"
"You hope so don't you?"
"That's right, keep believing in false hope that'll make it more fun don't you think so Christine?"
