VOID OF MYSTERY

"Did he say anything?" Nyla asked Bruce, "No. He won't speak a word" Bruce replied, frustrated. Nyla entered the room, in which Chris Peter was held in custody. Getting straight to the point there was no time to waste. "Who sent you that night?" Nyla asked him, looking at him directly. "Which night?" Chris replied acting clueless, a smile appeared on his face. "Yesterday night, Someone sent u as a distraction to mislead the police, you can answer me and leave or you can choose to play a part in attempted murder. You decide."  Nyla said, as she looked at her watch. 11 hours remained before he would be released, and Nyla had to get an answer.
"What will I get, even if I tell you?" Chris replied, looking at Nyla. "Funny." Nyla said, "Aren't u afraid of what you will lose if you don't speak?" She said, serious. "You bitch, what are you trying to say?" Chris said, glaring. "You sell high-quality drugs, the best in the market. You have nice deals, and almost Everyone trusts you. But if we tighten some strings up, it'll make it harder for u to sell ur supply. Then eventually no one would want to deal with u, because they'll know the police are after you. Now you choose?" Nyla said leaving the room, taking a deep breath. "Let's see how long will he stay quiet" Nyla said, looking at Bruce. As they both left, crossing Matthew who laughed at the sight of them. "If I would've gotten the case, this serial killer would be serving in jail by now." He scoffed, Bruce stopped looking at him. Their unit and Nyla's had never gotten along, "What are you looking at?"  Said Matthew arrogantly to Bruce as tension filled the atmosphere. "Hey! Let's go" Nyla said breaking the ice, time was ticking. Upon reaching, Sebastian filled them on some proof he'd found.  Things were about to get messy, and the tables were about to be turned. Sebastian showed them CCTV footage, which was captured 3 days earlier than the murder date, In which an officer is seen driving off in a police vehicle, but what's ironic is this car never came back nor did the officer. Surprisingly, no one even reported such an action. "Doesn't this seem messed up?" Sebastian said, "Right." Nyla said, thinking about it. "It's impossible to steal a police vehicle that easily and flawlessly." Added Bruce, this appeared suspicious. "But what could be the connection between this and the murder?" Said Sebastian, "locate that car, I'm sure we'll find out." Said Nyla, getting to work. Hours went by, but they had no luck. This wasn't the work of a nobody, after all, whoever did this flawlessly planned this and executed it. But something odd caught Nyla's attention which was that nobody noticed such an act or reported it. It was unusual, something was seriously wrong about this. Starring out of the window, as Nyla thought about it. She didn't know what they would find, or if these 2 crimes even had a connection between them. But whatever was coming next, was going to be big. This case was about to get way more messier and complicated. Something we can't imagine. "Nyla he's ready to speak." Said Bruce, "What?" Nyla said before they quickly left. "Who is this bastard" Nyla thought, before entering the room. "Who sent you?" Nyla asked him once more, her eyes desperately waiting for an answer. When her phone rang, it was Sebastian. "Leader! We found the car" he said, "What?" Nyla said in awe. "Alright, give me 5 minutes," she said, as the call disconnected.

"David. David Cooper." Said, Chris.
"What?"
Responded Nyla, confused to hear a name she never predicted.

The tables were about to be turned
