SEPTEMBER 25, 2022; ETHEL'S 18TH BIRTHDAY

As Ethel lays on the floor of Wes's kitchen floor, bleeding out. She falls in and out of consciousness.

She feels the vibrations on the floor on her phone ringing above her head, she knows it's Dewey, she wants to answer, but she can't bring herself try to get it.

Her vision is blurry, from both her amount of blood loss, and from the fact that her head was repeatedly slammed into the floor.

She tries to stay awake as she watches the sirens outside get closer to the front door. Hoping that despite all odds they'll be able to save Wes.

"We've got another one by the front door!" A cop yells from outside as they look through the window to see a foot.

Not wanting to disturb the crime scene they go around through the back door and some of the paramedics go towards the front door while the cops, and other paramedics stay behind to canvas the house.

It doesn't take long for them to quickly find Ethel on the ground the remaining paramedics quickly go over to asses the situation.

"We have another body over here!" One of them says as the run over to here, making sure not to step in the pool of blood.

As the paramedics make it to her Ethel listens as Dewey makes it to the scene. "My daughter is in there! Let me in, my baby girl needs me!"

"Riley, you aren't a cop anymore, I can't let you in there." The new deputy says as he stops Dewey.

"Well your sheriff is dead now, so why don't you announce me as the interim sheriff?"

"That's not how it works and you know it." Deputy Quentin states as he crosses his arms.

"Come on, please. It's my baby girl..."

"I- okay. But be a cop before you be a dad. Remember your training."

"Of course." Dewey says, quickly going in the house. When he walks in and sees the blood and starts to tear up, but he pushes it down, remembering what Quentin said.
