Missing You

Two months passed and I felt like I was finally accepting the fact we broke up. The winter time was here and my family gathered for Christmas . We sat around and ate snacks, opening gifts and listening to christmas music. My parents were home for the first time in months. While Kiana and Miguel put the tree up my parents danced in the kitchen. I watched them smile and whisper to one another. I heard a knock at the door and walked out of the kitchen.. Miguel opened the door and it was Marquis. He was dressed in a leather jacket, jeans and had black sneakers on. His hair was curly and he held a gift in his hand.

"Wassup maneee you in town for a little."Miguel smiled shaking his hand.

"Yeah I thought i would stop by and see wassup with you.."Marquis smiled

I started to walk into the living room but Marquis stopped me.

"I'll let you two talk."Miguel said walking away

"What?"I said pulling away from him.

"Why you giving me an attitude i want to talk to you."Marquis asked softly

"Marquis.. You cheated on me with your ex there ain't shit to talk about."

"Just come out to my car so we can talk...please."He said taking my hand. I rolled my eyes and followed him.

We got into his truck and began driving around.

"I need you to understand something. Shenise is good for business. She's a promoter and can rap. We have an legal agreement. We made two songs together so she receives half of the bread . I have to do a total of 10 songs with her before i can ask for the contract to be ended. If she decides to end the contract before the 10 songs i won't get a dime.. I was wrong, I know I was but when it comes to making money I'm gonna do whatever and that was what I had to do to keep her cool. I love you and i fuck her from time to time .. Thats just business...Its either you gonna be down or not?"Marquis said looking at me.

"You're asking me to be okay with your touching on another woman while being with me?"

"Just until i finish these songs. I've already done 4 with her."

"So how long until you're finished?"

"I meet with her every month to complete one."

"Marquis i hope you are using condoms with her."

"You know i am.. Just play the part .. you are who i wanna be with but this is what i gotta do."He said

I shook my head and began massaging my temples.

Marquis took my hand and began kissing me. The snow began to fall onto his car window and i could hear a fake santa ringing a bell nearby.

"Are you here for the holidays?"

"Yeah i'm about to go visit my mom...you wanna come?"

"Yeah."

"Go get some clothes we gonna slide to a hotel right after."Marquis said turning the truck off. I got out of the car and ran back into the house.

"Mija! Where are you going? Its christmas eve?"My mother said as i walked past the living room.

"I'll be back sunday ma."I said running up the steps

"She is going out with Marquis."Miguel said to our mother. I packed a couple outfits and my hygiene supplies than headed downstairs.

"Tia..come here."My mother said walking out to the foyer

I walked up to her and gave her a hug.

"Baby...be safe please and call me if you need to."

"I will mom i promise."I said walking out of the house and to the truck. I got in and we headed over to Marquis' mother's house. He moved his mom into a mansion in Staten Island. We could hear music playing and people laughing. There were at least 20 cars parked out front . Marquis and I walked in and everyone was dancing, drinking and having a good time. A short ,darkskinned lady with braids walked up to us. She was wearing a green and red dress and had matching makeup on.

"Baby this is my mom...mom this is my girlfriend Tia."

"Janine...nice to meet you."She smiled.

"Momma we gonna grab something to eat then go to my room.love you."Marquis said kissing her on the cheek.

"Love you too. Your father somewhere around here drunk...lord....Janiaaaaa pour me some more liquor!"His mother yelled to someone walking away. We walked through the crowd of people and down numerous hallways to a den. Marquis's room was set up like an apartment and had everything you could imagine. I sat down on his bed and took off my jacket and shoes. He poured us a glass of eggnog and turned the tv on. Marquis slipped out of clothes and pulled my hand towards the bathroom. He turned a radio on that had cassette tape inside. Ribbon In The Sky by Intro played. Marquis turned the water on and began washing me while kissing on my neck. I closed my eyes, cherishing the moment. I felt a longing for his touch and for his presence. I bent over and opened my legs, allowing him to slide inside me.

"Have you been fucking anyone else ?" He asked as he moved in and out of me.

"No baby, I haven't." I gasped. Marquis continued his thrusts faster and faster while the shower water pelted our bodies. I was moments away from climaxing when he lifted me up, and fucked me as i sucked on his neck.

"I love you too baby," I replied, kissing him. We walked out of the bathroom and dried off. It was nice and warm. I was getting hungry. We got dressed and walked upstairs to join the party. While in the kitchen Marquis introduced me to his family.

We sat down and ate dinner with one another hand and hand.

The next morning when we woke up his mom came running in his room and flicked on the tv.

"Your on tv."she smiled at Marquis. She knew that Marquis was a star but still couldn't believe her son had made it to Hollywood and got her out of the slums.

"Mom I'm always on tv."Marquis groaned, wiping the sleep from his eyes.

It was a photo of me and Marquis walking hand and hand into his home.

"It looks as though Marquis and Tia have reconciled! People spotted them together at a waffle house in June, shortly after news of Marquis' unfaithfulness hit the gossip rags. Now it appears that they made up and are giving things another go." the Entertainment News correspondent reported.

"Damn...they don't miss huh. Now i gotta call this crazy bitch."Marquis laughed. I wanted to laugh but i couldn't . I knew what i signed up for but at the same time it hurt knowing that i had to accept this until he was finished his contract.

We ate breakfast and watched a couple movies before we went for a ride. Marquis took me to the brooklyn bridge and we parked on the side. He took a cassette tape out and put it in and an instrumental came on.

"I'm riding."I smiled kissing him. Marquis smiled and started the car back up. He parked in front of my house and i got out and gave him a kiss.

"I love you. Imma call you when i touch down in LA."He said driving off... And he's gone again.
