Kaigaku pounces behind 💤Zenitsu💤

💤Zenitsu's💤 thoughts: "Crap! I don't have enough time to react! I'm screwed!"

💤Zenitsu's💤 thoughts: "Huh? Why hasn't he killed me yet?"

He turns around

💤Zenitsu💤: "H-HUH!?"

He finds Tanjiro's hand with a large cut on it, dripping endlessly while standing over the what was supposed to be, a 'strong' Upper Moon.

Kaigaku's neck was dripping with blood as there was a giant hole in it.

Kaigaku: "What the! So fast! I didn't even notice! I- What- That's it! You're dead meat! Get over here!"

💤Zenitsu💤: "Tanjiro! Watch out!"

The spot Tanjiro was standing in when Zenitsu suddenly saw something familiar in Kaigaku's Blood Demon Art weapon

💤Zenitsu💤: "No... No... NOO!!! TANJIRO!"

He catches Inosuke's attention

Inosuke: "T-Tanjiro?"

He leans over to cry out something in shock

Inosuke: "Tanjiro's coat? He's not dead, idiot."

💤Zenitsu💤: "That's not the issue. Why did Tanjiro have a large cut on his hand, nearly the same size as his katana? There's only one possible way. He did it himself. Why would he cut his own hand? That's what I'd like to know. Was it an accident? Or..."

Inosuke: "You nerd! But I guess you're right..."

💤Zenitsu💤: "Perhaps, it was to catch his attention... Or... He wasn't the one who landed the attack and is covering up for someone else? Who you may ask? Well, I have an idea. Some of the Hashira have a sibling right? Shinobu-chan has Kanae-san, Shinazugawa has Genya-kun, Muichiro MIGHT possibly have a sibling, but it's unknown. Now, who is it most likely to be? Kanae is dead, so that's one down. Muichiro's POSSIBLE sibling probably wouldn't be unknown if they were a demon slayer with a weapon, so now we go down to Genya-kun. Genya uses a gun, as he cannot learn a breathing technique. When you shoot someone with a gun, what shape does it make? Correct, a hole. What shape is a hole? A circle. Therefore, Genya-kun was called to this battlefield some time only Tanjiro knows. Therefore, he is defending Genya-kun from being discovered and targeted."

Inosuke: "Wow... I wish the awake Zenitsu was like this... Though... This Zenitsu is just a LITTLE too nerdy."

💤Zenitsu💤: "Enough about my nerdiness, we need to find Tanjiro and kill this demon."

Kaigaku: "Kill? Ha! You could only dream of it!" He blurts out, staring at them who were suddenly high up above on the edge of a cliff

Kaigaku: "W-What!? When did you get up there!?"

💤Zenitsu💤: "We were here the whole time, idiot. Were you hallucinating us down there or something?"

Kaigaku: "YOU LITTLE- YOU'LL REGRET SAYING THAT! BLOOD DEMON A-"

His words are cut off as a boiling 💤Zenitsu💤 pounces through the air, lands on his chest and repeatedly punches him in the face, leaving a scene of gore and disturbing blood.

Inosuke: "W-Wow... Remind me to never mess with you..."

💤Zenitsu💤 lifts his katana and slices through Kaigaku's neck, as slow as possible just to give him more pain.

Kaigaku: "Ac-kkk!" He spews out dark red blood trying to gasp for air

Kaigaku's neck is cut clean off

Inosuke: "Wow 💤Zenitsu💤! That was so cool! But obviously, not as cool as me!" He chuckles nervously

💤Zenitsu💤: "Let's go find Tanjiro now. Looking at this bloody scene makes me sick."

Inosuke: "I'm gonna find him first!"

He tries to run off but 💤Zenitsu💤 tugs on his skirt, pulling him straight back.

💤Zenitsu💤: "Boring as it may sound, we need to stay TOGETHER. Who knows if we accidentally run into Kanao or not."

Distant gunshots

💤Zenitsu💤: "There! Follow the gunshots!"

Inosuke: "Simple as pie."

Inosuke crawls onto the floor and starts sniffing the ground like a dog

💤Zenitsu💤 trusts Inosuke to know what he's doing, after all, he WAS raised my boars.

💤Zenitsu💤 willingly follows Inosuke til they reach a ditch with a tall man in purple standing on the other side, on a hill.

💤Zenitsu💤: "There he is! But where's Tanjiro?"

Inosuke: Gets up "Who knows."

Inosuke: "Let's talk to the crazy lookin purple guy!"

💤Zenitsu💤: "How? The ditch is so large."

Inosuke looks at him

💤Zenitsu💤: "What? Oh."

Inosuke climbs onto 💤Zenitsu's💤 back

💤Zenitsu💤: "Thunder Breathing... First Form... Thunder Clap And Flash!

💤Zenitsu💤 bounces off all sides on the large ditch and finally bounces off to the other side

Inosuke: "YAHOO!"

Genya: "YOU! WHO GOES THERE!"

💤Zenitsu💤 comes closer

💤Zenitsu💤: "WE'RE FRIENDS OF TANJIRO!"

Genya: "REALLY? THEN WHAT'S HIS FULL NAME, SISTER'S NAME, FAVOURITE HASHIRA'S NAME AND BEST FRIEND'S NAME!?"

💤Zenitsu💤: "TANJIRO KAMADO, NEZUKO KAMADO, HIS FAVOURITE HASHIRA IS EITHER RENGOKU OR GIYUU AND HIS BEST FRIEND IS ME AND INOSUKE, ALSO KNOWN AS ZENITSU AND INOSUKE!"

Genya: "OK, COME UP THE MOUNTAIN BEFORE YOU EXHAUST YOURSELF WITH SO MUCH SHOUTING!"

💤Zenitsu💤 and Inosuke run up the steel mountain before nearly tumbling down at the sight of tons of dead demons piled upon eachother

Inosuke: "KILL WITH PRIDE, I SEE EH?"

Genya: "MY SPECIAL ABILITY IS WHEN I EAT DEMON FLESH, I TEMPORARILY GAIN THEIR ABILITIES."

Inosuke: "GROSS!"

💤Zenitsu💤: "Wow... This mountain is really tall... My legs are giving in..."

💤Zenitsu💤 picks up Inosuke and place him on his back

Inosuke: "Hey-"

💤Zenitsu💤: "Thunder Breathing... First Form... Thunder Clap And Flash!"

He bounces from boulder to boulder, making them tumble to the ground, creating a loud and shaky noise. He doesn't care and gets up to the top of the mountain.

💤Zenitsu💤: "Finally..."

💤Zenitsu💤: "Anyways... I'll ask what I came here for. Do you have any idea where Tanjiro is?"

Genya: "Unfortunately not. He suddenly disappeared without word while we were spying out on the mountains. He obviously wasn't dead or turned into a demon since no blood trail was left behind, so he left willingly."

💤Zenitsu💤: "Strange..."
