Love Island: Outsiders Edition

Before the Show

Before we start this lovely new season of Love Island: Outsiders Edition I need to explain the rules and how it works. I mean, if it were me, I would just jump right into the action but I get paid to do this, so...

First off, I'm the host of the show. I get paid to be funny, watch all our islanders flirt, and admire them from afar and occasionally interview them to see how they are enjoying their time here in the villa.

Yes- there is a villa. On an island. That eleven singles get to share. I know, life is so unfair, right? Anyway, it's in Mallorca located on the Spanish Coast. There are two built-in underground pools, a huge (and I mean huge) villa and a beautiful yard full of places to sit and rest and grab a drink. The villa has multiple rooms in it; a kitchen, living room, bedroom, bathrooms and a HUGE room for the girls just for their make-up. Yes, you heard me ladies!

Here are the basic rules here on Love Island:

-Find love

-Make friends or enemies, your choice

-Anything can happen so don't underestimate ANYONE

-If you survive the whole summer, you win the grand prize of one million dollars!

Did that catch your interest? I hope it did because the grand prize always only used to be one-hundred thousand dollars. This season will be something else!

I know some of you may be a little confused, so let me start over. Here's what goes down in Love Island:

-When you first enter the villa there will be other singles waiting to meet you, unless if you're the first one there, then you'll be the person waiting

-After everyone is there, you will have enough time to introduce yourself to everyone

-Then there will be a coupling. You know, where you get to choose who you want to date. But there will be a catch. Or maybe not. You'll just have to tune in to see!

-After the first coupling you will get to spend the rest of the day getting to know your date

-When it's bedtime- yes even adults get a bedtime- then everyone will dress in their pj's and hop into bed. Oh yeah, I almost forgot- you will be sharing a bed with your new boyfriend

-In the morning the host (me) will give you enough time to eat (maybe) and get dressed before he sends a text to a random islander. The text can be anything from a challenge to a surprise date with a new islander

-Challenges will be sprung on each islander so there could be a challenge everyday or once a week. It's me and the producer of the show's call. The challenges can be anything from a simple truth or dare game to a deep secret revealing game that may get some blood boiling. Not literally, well, I hope not anyway

-New islanders may also make a surprise appearance. I don't know why I said may, because they definitely will. It may be announced to either an original islander or the new islander will just walk into the villa without any warning

-Now, the only way Love Island can have a clear winner is to have people eliminated from the villa, right? Right. Every other week there will be a recoupling. You know, it's like a coupling, but everyone has a chance to change who they want to be with. If you're happily in a couple, then don't worry. If you're not, however...maybe you should be a little nervous because the person who isn't coupled up with anyone at the end of a recoupling will be eliminated from the island

I know many of you may still have many questions, but time's running out and the first episode of Love Island is about to begin! I assure you that any questions you may still have will be answered throughout the show.

Oh! I almost forgot! This is very important because the islanders's time on the island depends on this announcement!!!!!

There will be a public poll throughout the show that gives the audience (you) a chance to either save a person from leaving the island or get to choose the next islander who goes into the villa! Also, at the end of the whole show, it's up to the public (you) to choose which couple wins one million dollars. No pressure!
