Forbidden Friends

Two years passed and the two little royals grew to be great friends. Both children treasured the time of day where they would be able to see each other. But as more time grew both of their parents started to notice how much time their little rulers spent outside of the palace. So during one visit the two sets of rulers followed their children into The Shining Forest. Although Jake's parents weren't too mad about this Mariella's parents were furious.

But when the two kingdoms saw each other in the forest both parents grabbed their children and pulled them behind each mother protectively. "Why are you here Nathan?" King Joseph of Timeigon asked King Nathan. "I came for my daughter. Why are YOU here Joseph?" King Nathan asked his enemy king. "I came here for the same reason you came here. I came here for my son." King Joseph said as both kids looked at their mothers confused.

"Mummy? Why is Daddy mad?" The little princess asked her mother. "Daddy is mad because you were with the son of our enemy kingdom's royal family." Queen Nicole responded as the two families took their kids back to their respective kingdoms to talk to the future rulers about what they did and why they did it. As the royal family made it home, the king was still very much furious about his young daughter disobeying his wishes and returning to The Shining Forest.

"Why were you in The Shining Forest with our enemies child? You KNOW we told you not to go back into The Shining Forest. But finding you with the prince of our enemy was just shocking!" King Nathan asked his daughter who was still confused about why her daddy was mad. "The Shining Forest is a very pretty place to be in daddy! It's quiet and calming to be in and the animals are adorable! But why did you get mad that I was with Prince Jake?" The little princess asked her dad as her dad put her on his lap.

"My child. The reason I banned you from going into The Shining Forest is because I was aware that the prince of our enemy kingdom would go there. I'm not mad at you because you were with the prince of our enemy kingdom. I'm mad that you disobeyed me by returning into the forbidden forest. But the real question is, why? Why would you disobey me and go to the one place I directly told you not to go to?" The king softly asked his young daughter acknowledging that his young daughter wasn't aware that she did something wrong.

As the young princess thought about what her father said, she then thought about her new found friend and decided to tell her father why she was with her enemy. "Well daddy, I felt peace in The Shining Forest. But when I met Prince Jake at first I was scared that he would hurt me. But when I tripped and fell while running from him he held his hand out to me and helped me off the ground. We actually became friends because we were both royal's from a Royal family. I didn't know he was my enemy. Sorry daddy." The little princess said to her father waiting for her father to respond.

As the king thought about what his daughter said he told one of the maids to bring the young princess to her room so he could talk to his queen. As the princess sat in her room she wrote in her diary about what happened that day. She wrote: "Dear diary, Mummy and Daddy found me in The Shining Forest with Prince Jake and Daddy was angry, but not at me. Daddy was angry with Jake's Mummy and Daddy. I didn't know this but Jake's Mummy and Daddy are enemies with my Mummy and Daddy. I'm afraid that daddy won't let me see Jake again. But time can only tell. Until tomorrow, Princess Mariella."

As the princess closed her diary she heard a knock on her bedroom door. As she opened her door she saw her childhood friend Stanley and let him into her room. "Hi Mariella! How are you doing?" Stanley said as he sat down on the young princess's bed. "Oh, I'm fine. But I'm a bit nervous." Mariella told her life long friend leaving him in confusion. " Why are you nervous Mari? Did something happen?" Stanley asked with a confusing look on his face as Mariella explained why. "Oh, ok I'll leave until your daddy talks to you. Bye!" Stanley said as he left the little princesses room.

After a while of waiting the little princess was told that, for her safety, she could not see her new friend again upsetting the little princess but was aloud to see him one last time to tell him this devastating news. As to friends met the princess told her new friend about what her daddy said. But after talking the two royals decided to keep meeting in The Shining Forest but at night so they wouldn't get caught.
