Second person.

The smell of coffee and freshly
made lesson plans wafted in the small break room.

It was finally recess for your students as was my lunchtime, the only time for you to get yourself together.

Sitting at the small wooden table grading old worksheets, the sound of children's laughter could be heard from the slightly ajar window.

A silent gust of wind passed by knocking the neatly stacked sheets, as I quickly bent down to pick up the scattered papers horrified screams came from the once joyful playground.

The sight was gruesome.

Blood was everywhere as decayed people were attacking left and right.

Similarly, horrified screams could be heard just outside the door as others tried to escape from the decayed.

It had finally fallen silent until the sound of small feet scurrying down the secluded halls caught my attention.

Slowly peeking my head out the sight of a young girl, around ten to twelve ran down the narrow hallways.

Swiftly pulling the small figure into the room I quickly duck down from the windows as a straggler limped past. "SSH, it's ok I've got you."

I whisper to the young girl, she seemed to be in the grade just above the one I taught.

After checking the hall one last time I hastily pull the girl towards the closest exit avoiding the chewed-up bodies and body parts.

The streets seemed just as deserted as the school.

Cars were left lonesome on the road as people were trying to leave the city quickly.

Everything was gone.

Everyone was gone, they were either dead or the undead.
