Y/n's POV...

The sun was on its way to setting. Soon it would be time to bunk down for the night. How did I choose to start my evening? By working on a punching bag. It was hanging on the ceiling and I was going at it. Only punching it, though. I learned my lesson after last time. Don't want to sprain my ankle again. As I was punching it, i heard someone humming. I stopped punching and turned around. Behind me was my best friend, Sonya Blade. Both of us are part of Special Forces. With that information in mind, one would probably think we're more than friends. Well, I wish. We go out for dinner sometimes and have a little agreement on who pays, we throw flirts at each other a lot- her favorite towards me is "smooth-talker"- and we bunk together. But, i don't know about her feelings. You can't ever really tell someone else's feelings. Me though? Yeah, i love her. "You seem to be doing well." She said.
"Yeah. I got my daily punches in. So uhh, may I try out that training course again?" I asked Sonya.
"Follow me, Y/n." She said.

I nailed Sonya's course and shot a skull at the very end. "Good job, Y/n." She said, clapping her hands.
"Thanks, hot stuff." I said as I approached her. "What do you say we use up the rest of my energy real quick?" I asked.
"Hmph. Okay. You're on, smooth-talker." She said. We both got in a fighting stance. She jumped at me and wrapped her legs around my waist. I fell backwards and then rose back up. I blocked her punches and then punched back. I gave her three punches to the chest and one to the arm. She gave a kick to my arm, making me grab it. She almost had me pinned, but just before she could, I leaped at her and pushed her down. I put my hand on her chest. "Gotcha, baby. Gg, Sonya." I said. She tapped my arm and I rose. I grabbed her hand and helped her to her feet. "Well done, Y/n." She said with a smile. I smiled back and grabbed her other hand. Then Sonya's wrist comm went off. "Sonya Blade reporting." She said.
"Sonya, we need you out at Madam Bo's as soon as possible. There's an attack going on." We heard.
"Who is it?" She asked.
"A clan called the Lin Kuei." We heard. We knew the Lin Keui, lead by Grandmaster Sub-Zero, otherwise known as Bi-Han. "Me and Y/n are going." Sonya said. "Sonya Blade out." She looked at me. "Well, come on, smooth talker. We might have to kick some ass." Sonya told me.
"Okay, Sonya. Lets go deal with these clowns." I said as I followed her out.
