That's It!

It's been 5 hours since he's heard anything from Barry. During this time, Donatello's been keeping himself busy with work while making sure that he wasn't missing any messages or calls from Barry. He'd also been doing his best to avoid Leo, Mikey, Raph, and Casey. He really didn't have the energy to answer all of the questions they most definitely had. Luckily he's been successful in avoiding them. He almost got caught a few times but he was always saved by one person or some situation that would distract his brothers or Casey long enough for him to slip away.

He's been able to finish some really important things on his list but he still had a lot more things to finish.

"Donatello!" Shit. He completely forgot about Dad. "What is this I hear about you having a baby?!"

"I have not the slightest clue what you mean, dearest father of mine. I would never suddenly create a baby for a friend but then suddenly be forced to take on the responsibility for it and keep it a secret from my family. Does that even sound like something I'd do?" Nailed it!

"Yes, yes it does. Now you are coming with me and you are going to explain this whole situation to us." Donatello was about to run away but Dad's tail wrapped around his ankle and pulled him in the direction of the rec room.

"So April came to you and asked you to make her a baby, basically threatened you, and then abandoned the baby?" Leo asked slowly with his hands put together in front of his face.

"Yep that about sums it up," He responded.

"AND YOU DIDN'T THINK TO TELL US SOONER?!" Donatello expected this response from his twin. He wasn't used to keeping large secrets from his brothers anymore; transparency is an important thing when you're working to run a resistance.

"I was going to, but I wanted to wait for a good time to bring her up. And lately, I've been trying my hardest not to think about April."

"Is this why you've been holed up in your lab for the past couple of weeks?" Raph asked his tone calm and understanding.

"Yeah. I was trying to take care of her but apparently, I wasn't doing that good of a job." A cold hand placed itself on his arm and patted him reassuringly.

"I'm sure you were trying your best, my son." Normally, Dad's words would be comforting to him, but this time it did nothing to help with the crushing weight of his failure. Clearly, if he had been trying his best then KC wouldn't be in this situation.

"Uncle Tello, I have a question."

"Yes, Jr?"

"Is the baby my new sister?" He...hadn't given it much thought. What is KC to this family? Is she my daughter or niece?

He did create KC but not with his own DNA. But that didn't necessarily disqualify him from being classified as her father.
