"Tell me Pipay, is Martin the baby's father?"
Vic asked her and she was dumbfounded. She suddenly felt a lump in her throat it almost felt like a vile.
She went silent and Vic gave her a moment or two.
"He can't know----yet." She said as she tears up again.
"Are you seriously asking me to lie to my brother?" Vic added and she nodded. "Why?" He asked again.
"Not really lie Vic. We will just kept him in the dark for now. I want us to finish our agreement before I fix us." She explained bago nanghihina siyang umupo sa kama.
"Martin and I, we met in Canada. We don't know a lot about each other, it was suppose to be just a week of being free. We don't even know each others real name until we saw each other here."
"I think I get what you mean. That explains Martin's reaction as well."
"You mean pumapayag ka na?" She asked and he nodded.
"Pipay, are you sure? If you are thinking about my problem with Pia, I can do something about it."
She smiled at her bestfriend. She knew he will always put her first before him and she knows it is now her turn to do him favors.
"No. You know me Vic. I always honor my words and I gave my word to you and I intend to keep it. I will help you out. Just two months right?"
"Yes. Two months, but what about Martin? Now that your abuelo knows, malalaman at malalaman niya and by the way Martin reacts about us, he won't let this go." Vic said.
"I can tell abuelo to keep my pregnancy for now Vic. I can tell him to keep it until the wedding."
Napa tango-tango naman ito.
"Speaking of the wedding, your abuelo. Hindi yun papayag hindi tayo ma kasal agad."
"Naisip ko na din yan, pero magagawan natin ng paraan yan Vic. Yung kapatid mo lang problema natin. He cannot know, or he will insist to marry me instead."
"And you don't want to?" Vic asked curiously.
"I want to know him more first." She said with a smile. "And you will help me with that." She added and winked at her bestfriend.
"If you insist! Pero ano ba talagang plano mo ngayon?" He asked again and Pipay was in a deep thought.
————————
"Pipay!" Her bestfriend, Sharon greeted her with open arms the moment she saw her at the hospital."Shawie! I missed you!" She answered while hugging her girl bestfriend.
"What are you doing here? I mean, not that I don't want you here pero, this is so random ha?" Sharon asked and guided her towards her clinic inside the hospital.
"Two things actually, and ahmmnnn... I want you to listen first before asking questions okay?" She asked as they seated on the comfortable couch for visitors.
"Kyla, take your lunch na, I don't have patient naman until 5PM. Mag uusap lang kami." Sharon told her secretary, maybe she felt that what she's about to tell her is important.
The secretary quickly exited the clinic and Sharon faced her.
"Sha, can I stay at your place for two months?" She asked hesitantly, she knew that Sharon will not deny her but what she's nervous about is her reaction once she told her why.
"Of course, you know you are always welcome but two months? You mean until the wedding?" Her bestfriend asked and she nodded. "Why?"
"Questions are for later remember?" She reminded her bestfriend who quickly shut her mouth.
