Destiny

I was running late, most likely due to all the drinks I had last night thinking about what happened almost a month ago that sadly kept me lingering . My foolish decision to have a good time ended up in tears. I'm starting to wonder why I even bother trying anymore. I completely forgot about my father's request for me to be there by 12pm , and now it's already 11:40am . I'm usually never late, especially when I step into Hill Tower. I quickly put on my clothes adding on a little bit of makeup.

(The outfit)

As I entered the building, I checked in with Susie and headed straight for the elevator. However, as soon as I stepped in, flashbacks from that night flooded my mind. I remembered the uncomfortable elevator ride with Khalil and I was,
what had happened between us. The memories were overwhelming.

The sound of the elevator's ding brought me back to reality, and I stepped out, making my way towards the boardroom. As I entered, I noticed a man standing and talking to my father. He was tall, about 6 foot 4 maybe 5, with a god-like physique. He turned around and I realized It was Khalil—I couldn't believe my eyes. What was he doing here?

I sensed that he was as startled to see me as I was to see him, but being the boss he is, he gave me a slight smirk. Those eyes... I had to snap out of it. I was mad at him, but how could I be? He was literally a perfect specimen, as if crafted piece by piece by the heavens.

"Hello, my beautiful Destiny," my father said, giving me a big hug and a kiss on the cheek. "I told you to be on time," he whispered.

After letting go, my father introduced me to Khalil as his business partner and friend. Khalil looked at me and said, "Lovely to meet you, Destiny." I replied in a quiet tone, "Same." He shook my hand firmly.

Then he asked my father, "I never knew you had a daughter, Alejandro." My father responded, "Oh yes, I don't usually talk much about her when it comes to business, because my son will be taking over. She's already built incredible wealth mostly on her own through dedication and hard work, and I find that admirable, especially at her age."
