The foggy blue night sky was replaced by the sunny morning glow as (y/n)'s alarm began blaring throughout the hotel room. She woke up and began to groan, staring blankly at the ceiling before quickly rushing to turn the alarm off, remembering that Pedro had slept over the previous night.
"shit."
She looked over expecting to see a, now awake, Pedro. However, instead she was met with a messy blanket and a slight imprint of where his figure once was. (y/n) sat up in the bed, and rubbed the sleep away.
Her eyes drifted to the empty side of the bed.
Of course. He only needed a place to sleep, he probably left so it wouldn't be awkward. (y/n)'s mind rationalized why he would be gone, but her heart was flooded with a tugging feeling. For some reason, her chest felt knots at the idea that Pedro left her. In a way she had hoped they would wake up and somehow reach a closer level in their relationship-- their friendship. Today was the last day of comic con, and since the season had been finished, so had her time with GOT. She was a temporary love interest after all.+ Sure it made her sad, really sad actually, but its what she signed up for, and the end was inevitable.
(Y/n) got out of bed and sighed, gathering her last outfit of the day. She slipped off her pjs and began putting her shirt over her head. Her arm was halfway through the arm hole when she heard a click at the door. Her head thwipped towards the sound as she saw the handle moving, she panicked and quickly pulled her shirt on before looking up to see Pedro in his clothes from the night before, carrying two brown paper bags.
"Sorry Im late, the lines were so long because of com-" Pedro's mouth froze as he processed what he was seeing. At the realization, Pedro's face flushed red and he instantly turned around,"I am SO sorry!"
(y/n) stood mortified, one leg pathetically halfway through her pants, "how did you even get IN???"
"I left the door unlocked in case you were still asleep!...I didn't want to wake you..but I see you're..awake.."
She finished getting dressed and tapped his shoulder, letting him know it was safe to look again. Pedro and (y/n) stood facing each other before Pedro broke the silence, "Look, I really am so sorry for-"
"its ok, really," she gave him a reassuring smile,"just-- I wasn't expecting you, is all"
Pedro observed her with a quizzical brow, "I left a note?"
(y/n) turned to look at the room before spotting a very obvious note on the night stand.
"oh."
She internally facepalmed at her obliviousness before changing the topic.
"So uh, what's in the bags?"
Pedro gave her a knowing look, also wanting to get out of the awkward situation,
"breakfast!"
"great!"
They ate in comfortable silence before Pedro had to leave to his actual hotel room since, well, he was still in his pajamas.
(y/n) sat in her desk chair, pondering.
Why did her heart hurt when she thought he had left?
I mean, he didn't, but she shouldn't be upset even if he did-- it's not like he's her boyfriend or something. For some reason,
that thought hurt more.
The more time that passed, the more she had realized she felt something more for him. She realized these feelings as she noticed how her heartbeat would quicken when he smiled, or laughed, or looked at her just right. And last night had only confirmed it, her heart almost burst being able to hold him and be truly alone with him. She knew she felt something--
