Chapter 2: Crash Landing

Ai and Rosie are waking through the forest talking.
"When is Margie gonna send us a letter?" said Rosie. "It's been forever since she has!"
"Be patient Rosie" said Ai. "She's probably busy with her cherry pie."
"Yeah, I know" replied Rosie. It's just getting a bit boring since you're the only person I can talk to."
Ai and Rosie then run into Yú and Alfonso. Yú is looking for balloon presents while Alfonso is catching bugs.
"Well what about Yú and Alfonso?" suggested Ai. "You can talk to them if you want."
"Eh, I don't know" said Rosie. "Them two are just a bit too wild for me."
"Well I don't mind them" said Ai. "Let's go up and say hello to them."
"OK, if we must" said Rosie.
"Hi boys!" said Ai cheerfully. "What you up too?"
"Oh, we're just doing daily things" replied Yú. Catching bugs, fishing fish, finding fossils, seeing if Nookway has new items, all that stuff."
Yú then immediately stopped chatting with Ai because he noticed something flying in the sky.
"Wait is that a balloon present I see?" said Yú. "I think it is!"
He then gets his slingshot out to shoot it down. He puts the pellet in, steadies really hard and just about when he's gonna let go, Alfonso accidentally crashes into him and he shoots the pellet.
The pellet misses the present and it seems to be heading to a bird. It not just any bird, it was Pete!
"PETE WATCH OUT!" screamed everyone from below.
"What was that?" said Pete.
The pellet then hits Pete's wing and Pete starts falling down down from the sky!
Ai and friends quickly run to where Pete is landing. And while doing so, they pass by the town hall where Tortimer is.
"Now, what's all this running for?" asked Tortimer.
"It's Pete!" said Ai. "He's falling out of the sky!"
"Oh my, this is serious!" said Tortimer in a worried tone. "I'll get the Pelican sisters, you rest can hurry along."
Ai then continues into the forest where Pete is falling to while Tortimer, Phyllis and Pelly follow the friends from behind.
