Chapter 8

Tommy's POV

It's been months now since saw XD last showed up, 'I wonder what's he been up to'.

I've been improving my magic and especially escape techniques ever since Sam caught me one time through my window escape. I've been feeling something heavy in my chest for the past few weeks. But today is a special day, and I will not let this burden feeling on this day.

'Today is Ranboo's 18th birthday, which means he will have a coming-of-age celebration later but I will give him an early present that I bought. Bet he's gonna be happy that I got him a spellbook.' I rang the bell to let the maids prepare my clothes for a formal one, and I'm still feeling some glaring at me and whispers. Really can't blame them... Cause I'm the most handsome prince than my brothers ever were.

"We'll be going now, Prince Tommy." The maids bowed down, and they left.

'I should also leave'. I grabbed the book and am planning to give it to Ranboo, then opened the door, and saw Sam standing in front of the door the 'just great'.

"Good morning, Your Highness, Prince Tommy!" Sam smiled.

Sam and I sometimes got along pretty well for the past few days, though he was always watching my movements. Luckily, I got some tricks to avoid his radars for a couple of hours. we hung out sometimes and got to know more about each other.

"Good morning to you also, Sam!" I smiled and started running away."I need to go, and I have some important business to do!" I turned around to see if Sam would follow me, but he just stood as if he knew where I'll be going.

I arrived at the practice ground to see Ranboo with Technoblade, I immediately hide before they sense that I'm there. Accidentally eavesdropping, "Your stance improves for the past few days, Ranboo," Technoblade said.

"Thank you, Sir Technoblade!" Ranboo replied. He looked at Ranboo and responded,"As I said to you, Ranboo, drop the honorific. You're also a family." He patted Ranboo's head.

Ranboo smiled. "I'll try."

I just watched them from afar, laughing and having a conversation. Watching them having a brotherly bond... for the few minutes Technoblade left, and I gathered up the courage to go

to Ranboo.

"Ranboo!" I called

He turned around to see me waving at him, and he also waved at me. I ran up to him with a smile and slapped him on the back. "Ow! What was that for?!" Ranboo yelled.

"That's for becoming a big man before I did," I joked.

We just stared at each other and laughed, and chatted for a few minutes about the feeling of becoming an adult. Then handing him a gift "Here big man" and smiled.

"Thank you, Tommy," he grinned. We chatted again for a while and glanced that my brother was back, I bid my farewell to Ranboo and went back inside.

People in the palace were busy preparing for the upcoming-of-age party, I saw Sam waiting for me in the hallway and went to me. "How was your chat with Prince Ranboo?" Sam questioned.

"It went well, then he showed up." getting irritated, He looked at me with a smile and patted my head, trying to comfort me.

We walked through the garden and told him to leave me alone for a while. He reluctantly agreed to leave my side but still convinced him. I strolled around the garden for a while and got bored with it, then went back inside. Surprisingly Sam wasn't there, as I went back to my room, I heard two people having a conversation.

Coming through my father's office. I tried to eavesdrop, but my vision suddenly blurred and felt weak. Before collapsing, "TOMMY!" I heard my name and saw Ranboo rush toward me."ranboo.." The door suddenly opened curious to see who opened the door, but my vision went dark.

Ranboo's POV

(earlier ago)

I bid my farewell to Tommy and saw that Technoblade was back, hiding the book that Tommy gave to me in case he confiscated it. I picked up my sword and went back to training, exhausting ourselves, "So how is he?" Sir Technoblade suddenly asked. I turned around and was confused, "Who? Tommy?" He nodded,

"He's doing fine, I think. He gave me a present book, and I wondered where he got the book it was unfamiliar to me." The moment I realized where Tommy got that book. Quickly covered up my mouth before saying anything further.

I saw that Sir Technoblade was listening very well to the informationgot gave him about Tommygotand he got curious "So About the book that he gave you, mind if I take a look?" I hesitantly try to decline but, It's just too hard to decline, Sir Technoblade.

I gave him the book and hoped not to take it with him.

He opened the book, and to my surprise, eyes widened and immediately took off. I tried to chase after him, but I lost him, 'What am I going to do, Tommy might be angry at me for losing what he gave me?' Feeling disappointed in losing a gift is not great. I searched for Sir Technoblade but still had no luck, I walked into endless halls hoping to see Sir Technoblade there. But to my surprise, it was Tommy who I found, seeing him makes me ache I lost his gift. Must I lie? No,

Telling him the truth is right, I tried to call his name, but no use. Approaching him is the best solution. "Tom-" and to my horror, Tommy suddenly collapsed. "TOMMY!" I rushed towards him and saw the door swing seeing the royal family was there and my book. And they saw Tommy laying on the floor Sir Wilbur immediately carried Tommy to his room and King Philza ordered Sir Technoblade to call the doctor, I followed Sir Wilbur to Tommy's Room and waited for the doctor to arrive.

All I could do was stare at the unconscious Tommy. While Sir Wilbur paced back in-fort waiting impatiently, eyes widening in disbelief. And King Philza could do is wait for the doctor.

A minute later, the door swung, and Sir Techblade arrived with the doctor he was carrying the doctor and saw him anxious, so he put him down. The doctor regained his posture, "Your Royal Highnesses, can you please all leave while I examine Prince Tommy?" We were hesitant, but the doctor insisted. We waited outside. god, this waiting feels like years...

After an hour later the doctor call us in and told us the result "His health was somehow gradually decreased and but pardon my saying to you this Your Highnesses but when your Royal Highness left, his health increased..." The doctor left, and we stayed silent.

"So it's already started..." Sir Wilbur broke the silence. We stared at him for a minute.

"What started?" confused about what they are on about. They all looked for a matter of minutes, "Ranboo can you please leave the room for a while" Sir Wilbur demanded, I tried to say something but looked into their eyes telling me that this is important information only they would know. I just nod.'I'll try to visit Tommy later when he wakes up.'

Before leaving, Sir Technoblade gave back my book "Here, kid, I forgot to give it back to you." I smiled and left. 'I need to find information about what their keeping for the sake of Tommy'

Tommy's POV

Where am I?

Why am I feeling something soft in my back?

Why am I laying down?

Then it hit me, 'I fainted'

'Who brought me here?'

"If you haven't made a deal with him, then this situation wouldn't happen."

'I hear people mumbling something. Who was speaking? And deal with who?' I eventually recognized the people speaking were my Father and brothers. 'What are they arguing about?' I tried to listen more, having a feeling that I shouldn't. "That monster was the one who caused this cursed, and we have to pay your selfishness!" Wilbur yelled.

My body ran cold. 'Are they talking about me? Am I the cause of this curse?'

Long time no see to the readers, I apologize that I haven't been uploaded for a month now. I almost discontinued this story cause many things happen, but I finally regained motivation. This story will be having a slow update. I apologize again.
