Neteyams POV

Today was a lot. When I told (y/n) to stand up for herself I did not expect her to punch Tsyal. I mean, I get it, she deserved it, I just didn't think she had it in her to do that.

I've kind of been feeling a bit weird lately. Ever since that day. The day that I sat down beside (y/n) at the edge of the cliff. When we talked it was like nothing else mattered. It took me ages to bring up the subject that I had originally came over to talk about because she was just so interesting to talk to. When I talked about Tsyal being mean and stuff it was like something in her brain flipped. Her face changed completely, so I reassured her of how great she is. That's when she hugged me. That was a really good hug. I got a weird feeling in my stomach when it happened.

Finding out about what had happened between Tysal and (y/n), I didn't know if I should feel guilty or proud.

A while after it had happened I saw
(y/n) standing in the door way of our hut. I could tell she was trying to hold back tears. I know I shouldn't, but I felt a sense of happiness that she had decided to come here because she was upset. Seeing her standing there, I just wanted to hug her and tell her everything would be okay. You can understand my disappointment when she announced it was my brother she was looking for. Not me. I mean it was stupid to think she would come to me for comfort after hanging out with my brother all the time. I mean he had also gone to look for her too.

Dad tried to reason with her because he thought it was a bad idea for her to see someone she's forbidden to see when she's already in deep shit with her parents. She seemed irritated and said that she didn't care. I knew she would get overwhelmed if she kept talking to my dad so I knew I should step in.

After I told her where Lo'ak had gone I guided her outside. My hand was on her back and I realised how smooth her skin was.

She updates me on the situation. She is really upset. I want to just fix everything. I would do anything to make her feel better. I try comfort her by telling her I'm proud of her which got a smile out of her which made me happy. And that's when she told me I was a really good friend. I don't know why I feel disappointed, its not like I ever had a shot with her in the first place. She must have picked up on my change of expression because she asks me if I'm OK. I try my best to look normal again and tell her I'm all good.

Then her face lights up and I'm not quite sure why. She then speedily runs past me, bumping into me. She didn't even say anything to me, she just kept running forward. And that's when I see Lo'ak. She jumps into his arms and I watch them hugging so warmly. I wish I could've been that person for her. He kisses her head too which makes me even more jealous. When they pull away they start talking. I can't really make out what they're saying. Lo'ak cups her face and she just looks so comfortable. Then they leave together and I'm standing here alone. I know I shouldn't feel Jealous of Lo'ak. Back home I'm the one that gets everything while Lo'ak just watches. My Eywa, the one time he gets something that he wants, and I want it? I'm selfish. I decide to go to the forest to try clear my mind.
