Y/N was disappointed the haunted house did not end up as scary as she had hoped it would be, something Daki greatly disagreed with. The attraction only reinforced her reluctance to do anything horror related, and the silver-haired girl was certain she would have nightmares later.
"N/N, remind me to never ask for your opinion on anything horror themed. Not gonna make the same mistake twice..."
Y/N nervously laughed in response, feeling a bit guilty. Maybe the attraction was scary, in fact... while Daki excused herself to the bathroom, Y/N spotted a familiar mohawk teen. Unlike for the Kamaboko squad, G/Y/N knew Genya through Gyomei, as the boy would often stay with him instead of his brother. It was hard to get along with the teen at first, especially when he would keep freezing at the sight of G/Y/N, but the two eventually became friends.
"Wish I could solve the situation between him and Sanemi, but if even my game counterpart didn't manage to do it, I don't stand a chance. My social skills are at rock bottom, the only thing I have are percentages to help me... how ridiculous. Maybe if I increase their affection and loyalty they'll be willing to listen, though."
"Hi, Y/N."
"Hey, Genya. Are you alone?"
"No, I'm with... oh wait, I haven't introduced them to you yet. I met them rather recently, after all."
"If you're referring to the group over there composed of a crying blonde, a screaming blue-haired boy, a tired-looking red-haired boy and a confused-looking girl... no need for introductions, I know them."
"You do? Hold on, how did you even know it was those people??"
"What are you on about? They mentioned your name just now..."
"... you heard them from all the way here?"
"Well, yeah? What's wrong with that?"
"... I just never realized you had such good hearing."
Y/N paused. She made a mistake. There was no mention of G/Y/N having a more developed hearing than an average person, she definitely should not have been able to distinguish Genya's name from so far away. Should Y/N play it off?
"I could pretend the wind carried the words over there... but if I make another blunder, I'm done for. Forget it, too risky."
"Let's say it's somewhat selective. Depends on the situation, I guess."
"Oh, like when you focus on one particular voice in a crowd or some words from afar? Come to think of it, you've always been sensitive with loud noises... makes sense your hearing would be better than most. You're kinda like Zenitsu, in fact."
